Ordering from mac cosmetics online?

im asking this in make up because you guys are most likely to have ordered from this site. i ordered a product from the maccosmetics.com and they send you and email right after you ordered. i misspelled my email, so i did not receive it. i was just wondering what the email contains. is it and order confirmation that you have to confirm you order or is it just saying thank for ordering ??? because its been about 8 week days and i still havent gotten my package so im trying to figure out what is taking so long. (i used standard shipping)Ordering from mac cosmetics online?
the 1st email usually says ';Thank you for ordering through MAC'; and then you will receive a 2nd email (usually 2 days after submitting your order) when your items have been shipped. The email gives you a tracking number so you can check the status of your order. You can call MAC and let them know to change the email address so you can receive the notifications. It's good to have them as reference.

Can You Buy Cosmetics Online.......?? (:?

Can you buy cosmetics off of Make Up Forever ---%26gt; http://www.makeupforever.com/ ?? If so can you tell me how/provide the link?

I really love this one foundation they have, but I have NO stores around here that sells nice cosmetics (only drug stores) :P

THANKS!!

**WILL pick Best Answer! (:Can You Buy Cosmetics Online.......?? (:?
I don't think that you can get the product on the Makeup Forever website. You can order the makeup from Sephora. http://www.sephora.com/browse/brand_hier…Can You Buy Cosmetics Online.......?? (:?
You're welcome. Report Abuse

You can buy it on like yahoo shopping or like amazon or stuff like that.
I would never trust makeup online. If you go to the mall stores like Macy's has Clinique and Lancome, I'd go there if you wanted nice make up.

New Business: Luxury Cosmetics, Skin care, and Hair care SAMPLES! Please give me your feedback?

I am starting a new e-commerce business in which customers will sign up for a membership, and pay a monthly fee ($15-$30 depending on what package they choose) and receive samples of luxury cosmetic brands, hair care brands, and skin care brands! I want as much feedback as I can get, and would LOVE if you could give me your thoughts (positive and negative accepted) as I understand everyone will have different opinions! Working with Mac Cosmetics.?

What I would love to do is work for MAC, not just a counter girl, but in there main building, helping them come up with new looks, colors, themes, ect. What would I need to train in in order to become eligible to do so? I know I'd have to work up the latter, I just want to know where I need to get started. I'm a junior in High School, btw. I've got some time.Working with Mac Cosmetics.?
Yes, you would need to train as a Makeup artist to work at MAC.

They are the only makeup brand where they wont employ you if you're not trained. Even a sales assistant.

The only way to most probably work up higher in the company is by working through it, so working up as a manager at a store then so on. When you join MAC they train you up to their products and becoming a MAC Pro will allow more access to the HQ of the company, they higher you get as a MAC artist, the more chance there is on becoming eligible to work on new lines.

Working for MAC is so much fun if you're 100% sure its what you want to do. And as you're only in Jr High and have time. Make sure you stay up to date with the new products, lines, colors. And try and stay up to date with all the fashion trends and even start working on makeup designs and working on people as a makeup artist and take photos to build up a good portfolio.

Good Luck. Maybe you'll be my boss in a few years!Working with Mac Cosmetics.?
ya so your obviously way to young to work there. they mostly only hire 18+...

but anyways, to prepaire for working there later, you could:

- volunteer and small local fashion shows and do the makeup for the models

- practice on yourself AND friends

- get a job at a drugstore that sells makeup (looks good on a resume)

- if theres a drama club at your school, do the makeup for all the actors

- VOLUNTEER! no matter where you want to work, employers LOVE lots of volunteer experience from younger workers (try volunteering somewhere that asks for interacting with people, so the employer knows you can easily talk and help people)

- get conections with the store. maybe if you know somone who works there already, they could talk the boss into hiering you

also if you want to work in the actaul lab place, then that will be trickier. youl need to take pre-cal ,bio and chem in high school for sure. in collage youl need to take some basic science, some bio and chem.

it will be hard because the people who are the actual inventors are all scientists, and that takes alot of hard work.

thats about all i can think of..so good luck! ;)

  • How does my cosmetics guide sound? any other suggestions? [easy ten]?

So I need to go shopping for some new cosmetics.... so yah. Here's what I'm thinking:

I need some more Wave refills

    New hairbrush

One New Tube of Lip gloss

    One bottle of Liquid foundation

    One new tube of mascara

One new palette case of eyeshadow

    One palette of blush

    One new concealer

Then some new makeup applicators: cotton rounds, cotton swabs, makeup sponges, new kabuki brush, new blush brush, double ended makeup brush

    makeup remover cloths

    and some bobby pins

so tell me what you think :DHow does my cosmetics guide sound? any other suggestions? [easy ten]?
Instead of makeup remover pads, get Maybelline waterproof eye makeup remover and use it with cotton rounds (wet your face first, it makes it easier). Also, the Neutrogena Wave doesn't work; don't waste your money. Get Aveeno clear complexion instead, it had exfoliating beads that clear your acne and smooth out your overall complexion. Also make sure to pick up a moisturizer of some sort (Aveeno ultra calming is best). With all that makeup, makeup removal, and face-washing, your face is gonna be stripped of moisture. And if you don't have one already, get a wide-toothed comb to use on your hair when it's wet. Brushing wet hair is bad; it causes breakage. Good luck :)How does my cosmetics guide sound? any other suggestions? [easy ten]?
Hmmm..well how much money do you have and whats your style?

i normally just wear mascara, and i ditched the alot of eyeliner like on the outside of my eyes for a simpler, prettier look so i just have it on inside..and swapped foundation for moisturiser and cute bows 4 mi hair

but heres what i think looks gud :) and what hair style do you have?

    Heres what is say:

    One Autolining Black eyeliner

    One Long lashes mascara :)

if you want foundation i reccomend the natural minerals powder one,not liquid

    Shimmer palette

    Tinted/shine,plumping gloss

    Ur makeup applicators

    Wave shaping,curl defying spray

    Hair curlers

    Hair volume

Pack of Cute Clip in Hair bows :)

hope this helped you :D Other wise your list sounds good to me :)
very nice! I'm making up a list too though I've got WAAAY more than one face needs :) I'm a junkie.

I'd add an eye lash curler (but for that you MUST buy quality! Shu Uemura), and maybe a bronzer for that spring-summer transition :)

oh and make sure that foundation has at least SPF 15! or get a primer that does (so you don't get icky sun damage and aging problems)
    sounds good to me...

except i would get more than one thing of everything.

one isnt going to last you very long.

so i would get more or something.

and you should get some face powder.

    and some face softener.

you apply that before you put on your makeup.

    hope i helped.=]

Is Bee Luscious Cosmetics worth the money?

Im thinking about getting their bronzer since someone just suggested i get some instead of the list that i posted. and i was wondering if it was worth it and if it came off easily when you sweat or if it just plain comes off easily no matter what. cuz what i can see is that it is natural stuff, am i right? or the mineral makeup? I was not impressed with the i.d. BareMinerals makeup. i pretty much dislike it alot. i have to mix it with a whole bunch of other products [like i have to use a differen't product just to put the shadows and eyeliner on my eye] and i dont even use the foundation the way your supose to [ put a lil lotion/moisterizer and put some of the foundation on the top of my hand and i mix it. so i kinda have a liquid foundation] %26lt;but that still comes off :(( soo i was wondering if this stuff would do it too. I dont want to save up money to spend it on something thats like $40 when it wont even stay on... So if i dont like mineral make up will i not like this makeup? Is Bee Luscious Cosmetics worth the money?
It is nothing like Bare Minerals. The mineral makeup is excellent they have various colors to choose from so it depends the look you want. It lasts on me without using the primer about 8 hours or so no touch up needed now when I add the retexturizing primer then all my makeup is good for about 17 hours probably I would venture to say 24 hours because I have used it from work to rushing to a business dinner and had no time at all to touch up and I looked as if I had just put makeup on all I had to add was more lip gloss which I recommend their Liquid Metallics.

This product brand is WELL WORTH THE MONEY it has become my favorite that I have tossed all other products from my collection away and I am exclusively using bee luscious now. I have been using the products for almost 2 years now as well as my two teenage daughters and the skin care is to die for.Is Bee Luscious Cosmetics worth the money?
LOOOVE it. It will stay on all day. Not all minerals are created equal. This one breathes with your skin. Now it is not a full coverage for that you need (in minerals) a Stick Foundation. This will give you the coverage without the oils that are in the stuff like Cover Girl!
yeah i like it alot. mine stays on all day but i also use the primer so yeah it works. the one i use is the oil free liquid minerals. it is also breathable so it wont sweat off.
I would recomend at least trying it. I really like their makeup and really don't use anything else.

They are having a 50% off sale this weekend. I just got the newsletter in my email!!!
Yes I love it. Its very much so well worth the money.
I Never heard of Bee Luscious Cosmetics until coming to Yahoo answers %26amp; read about it here.

I mean~~ I Have Never ever read about it in any Well known Makeup Mags or Cosmo or Cosmo girl or Seventeen magazines. (They are my fave mag to keep up with Hair Styles, Clothing, %26amp; MakeUp products).

I Must read Good Reviews before trying something new in Cosmetics.

To me, its a very Expensive Makeup for something that isn't highly touted, except on here.

So~~Go to Their WebSite %26amp; find out if you Really Can get Free Samples of what you are interested in Trying! If you only Pay for postage, in the Long Run it is Cheaper for you. If you Love it %26amp; your Face loves it, then Just Order more from them.

I had to do Trial %26amp; Error to find Minerals makeup brand that works best for me. Thank goodness I have a bunch of Sisters and we can share Some Makeup. I can't use Loreal Minerals or BareMinerals or this other brand (can't remember name)~~~anyway~~~I must be allergic to bismuth in them.

I use all Kinds of Different Brands too.

Don't mix lotion with your Makeup to get a foundation. It may not Work right that way so thats why It Doesnt Last on your face.

Question about MAC Cosmetics' line Fafi?

hi, to any of you mac junkies out there, do you know if mac's fafi will appear in department stores as well on the 13th? because i have a giftcard to bloomingdales and i really would love to use it there ! and then get some more.Question about MAC Cosmetics' line Fafi?
    Hey hun,

Im not 2 sure when it will drop in stores but I know they will be having a big mac event in bloomingdales on the 22nd and 23rd of Feb in NYC.

I know this because I will be one of the Fafi models! I can't wait, its gonna be really fun you should swing by.Question about MAC Cosmetics' line Fafi?
I dunno, but my cousin works at MAC in Las Vegas, and i know how expensive it is there. (150+ for an appointment)
im sure you could find out on their website.
Hi! MAC for Fafi will be out at all MAC stores on Feb. 7, but chain stores such as Macy's, Bloomingdales, etc might not be that date. It might be a few days to a week after.

    Cold sores and cosmetics?

I recently had a breakout of cold sores on my cheek and initially, I didn't know what it was so I covered it with a concealer brush and cream concealer from a pan (Revlon New Complexion Concealer). Now that my cold sore is gone, I understand I should wash the brush but do I need to throw out the concealer? It seems like such a waste cause I just bought that concealer....Cold sores and cosmetics?
Yes, because by dipping the brush you wiped the sore with into your makeup, you have contaminated it. I agree, it is a bummer, and is expensive, but it beats another outbreak. In the future, use a q-tip to apply to sores, and throw it out when you are done.Cold sores and cosmetics?
The viruses can be in the makeup which can cause another outbreak or if someone borrows this, it can be spread to them.

This is how my sister got it. (Her roommate borrowed her lipstick to cover a cold sore and didn't tell her)

Where is MAC cosmetics basic training?

I am applying at MAC at a counter in Macy's. I have retail experience and a good portfolio and resume, so hopefully after the application process and doing makeup on a model in front of them, I will get the job.

My question is, if I do get the job, I know that they will send me to ';basic'; to learn about the products, etc. Where is this? And if it is kind of far away (lets say an hour and a half) do we stay overnight each night? Does MAC compensate you for that or do I have to pay for it?

I am in the northern central florida area, about 1 1/2 away from Orlando, in between Orlando and Jacksonville. Where do you think I would go to basic?Where is MAC cosmetics basic training?
They have a stand alone store in Orlando so probably there. This seems like a question to ask the MAs already working at your MAC counter who have gone through the process though.Where is MAC cosmetics basic training?

    Carcinogenic substances in cosmetics?

I lost my best friend to cancer in January this year, it has been a terrible time for everyone who loved her. Since then, I've been researching carcinogens to understand some of the causes of the illness - partly to understand prevention for myself and my loved ones.

I'm looking for further advice from health professionals and anyone out there who understands chemical substances.

After a bit of research, I've found that 'Triethanolamine' and '2 Bramo 2 Nitropropane 1 3' have been found to be carcinogenic if used long term. These substances are found in many hair and skin products still widely sold in the UK. These substances are in the process of being banned in many places in America and Europe, because of the carcinogenic risks. I live in th UK and am concerned about these chemicals in many, if not most of the products I go to buy. Can anyone give any reasurance or further information please. Many thanks.Carcinogenic substances in cosmetics?
I have also heard that many chemicals in cosmetics have been linked to cancer in HIGH doses. So, if there is a trace of a carcinogen in your lipstick, I don't think it will harm you.

I have heard about carcinogens mainly associated with dark hair dyes. Dark hair dye has been linked to certain cancers like lymphoma, but there is no definitive answer.

Unfortunately, I think that our risk of cancer is increased just from living - drinking chlorinated water, breathing dirty air, eat foods with hormones and pesticides.

My best advice for being healthy is to eat right, exercise, maintain a healthy weight, get regular checkups.

We all have stories like your friend. The sister of my best friend died from sarcoma after a bout with Hodgkins lymphoma. She was a vegetarian and exercise nut - sadly there was just something wrong with her genetic wiring.

I am sorry about your friend - I will keep her in my prayers.Carcinogenic substances in cosmetics?

    SO DON'T HIGH Concentrated cosmotics.

  • M.A.C. cosmetics price range?

Does anyone know the price range for M.A.C. cosmetics? I always wanted the 2-way cake. It seems like the cosmetics are really expensive because of its elegance packaging. It would be great if anyone could tell the amount (in Singapore dollar) for M.A.C. powder, blusher and lip gloss? Thanks. =)M.A.C. cosmetics price range?
hey try the website.... i think its www.maccosmetics.com or something like that and it should have all the info on itM.A.C. cosmetics price range?
the makeup is not that expensive, you can go online at their website and look at how much everything costs
The make-up in The US is not expensive. Foundation 24-32.

Eyeshadows 14. Lipsticks 15. And there is a location in Singapore so you can call them up and find out what they cost in Singapore funds. You might be better having someone in US buy it for you and send it to you. MAC is one of the lowest priced professional cosmetic companies in the world and the highest grosing in sales next to their mother company Estee Lauder, fyi.Because they do not do traditional advertising.
It is quite expensive, try e-bay to purchase this make-up, it'll convert the amount of money to Singapore dollars and you'll find great deals. Good luck!

Work for Ulta cosmetics. Experiencing pregnancy discrimination and being treated very cruel. Need an advocate.?

Has a very poor management team. Having job threatened almost every shift for very little thing, Feet swell up and hurt, asked to sit down for 5 minutes and told no. Have been retaliated against since complining. Constant harrasement. Stress from work having physical effect on pregnancy. Company execs not doing anything about it. Management still treating me very badly and excluding me from functions at work like a baby shower they threw for another manager. Way to sore, and tired to keep battling with them but need to keep working because I need to buy my baby things. In my last trimester. Need help on how to deal with this issue please?!!!Work for Ulta cosmetics. Experiencing pregnancy discrimination and being treated very cruel. Need an advocate.?
Wow Im sorry to hear about this. Its a shame. I think I would report them.Work for Ulta cosmetics. Experiencing pregnancy discrimination and being treated very cruel. Need an advocate.?
Just do your job the best you can and ignore the management team. You only have a few weeks left.
If you're in the UK call the citizens advice bureau, they should be able to advise you on what to do.

    Good Luck

    xx
Look into your company's policy for any kind of pregnancy rules and regulations they might have. Also look into what your state laws are for pregnant women. They probably didn't invite you to the baby shower because they didn't want to make the other pregnant woman feel like she had to share the attention. Check craigslist.com for free baby stuff in your area, there is usually cheap to free stuff on there. Good luck hun.
You should most certainly contact the 9to5 Helpline if you're in the US (google them) because pregnancy discrimination advocacy is what they do.
What state are you in? If you're in Nevada i can help you out. Document everything and get witnesses if you can. Maybe they're all jealous?
Document the incidents (and how you have attempted to get help from management) and call a lawyer- the lawsuit will give you more than enough money to cover baby supplies.

I think this is the perfect age to start as they can then train you to their style %26amp; you are starting with a clean slate! tell them you want to be trained also %26amp; are willing to undergo training if necessary.

    xx
You may have to work in other areas of the store, and then progress up to the makeup counters. Just go to the store and ask if they are hiring, or ask for an application form. Leave you CV with them, so even if they dont have a job going atm then they might call you when they do. I would say if you really want to work in the store, call them up reguarly to ask if theres jobs going, so they will know your really interested.

Jobs are pretty scarce atm, but good luck :)
i doubt mac would employ you as all their employees are trained and qualified beauty therapists or make up artists
    good luck.

they don't hire that young, even though they say they do. and with the horrible economy, you'll be lucky if they're hiring at all.

Learning about the Cosmetics and Beauty Industry???

I would like to eventually be an exec in marketing in the cosmetics/beauty industry. I received my Bachelor's degree this past June and in a couple years I'll be back in school getting my MBA.

In the meantime, What advice can anyone give me? How/where do I learn about the beauty industry? I was entertaining the thought of going to FIDM for their Beauty Industry Merchandise and Marketing program (Professional Designation), but am wondering if it will even be worth the time and money. Is there a cheaper alternative to learn about the industry? Or any alternative schools or programs? I live in Orange County, CA. Thanks all!Learning about the Cosmetics and Beauty Industry???

Can you take cosmetics in hand luggage?

i have a flight early tomorrow moring, and have been wonering if my hand luggage will be okay. i know the normal rules of ';no liquid over 100mls, nosharp objects'; but i read that you cannot take cosmetics in your hand luggage. i only have my makeup bag. i also have over the counter diet pills (which i would prefer to keep hidden from my parents) and caffine pills, am i allowed these or will the take hem or ask me about them?

thanks xCan you take cosmetics in hand luggage?
The pill are questionable. But I would not bring on any liquid type product. I fly every year and mascara will get you kicked off a plane! So I think that would be a no on the glue too. But (non liquid) eye shadows, and powder foundation are allowed. Can you take cosmetics in hand luggage?
I'm pretty sure that the pills are only allowed if they have the name of the doctor and everything on it(like the prescription bottles) and you can bring all dry make-up(i.e blush, eye shadow) as long as it is not liquid.(ie mascara) They confiscated my mascara one year so put those in your luggage to be loaded on OR you can put it all in a little clear baggie they will give you in security, as long as its under 100 mls.

    Same with the glue.

  • Dead Sea Lotions, Cosmetics, Nail Treatments, Etc. What's Your Take?

I see the kiosks at the mall: The Israeli vendors pushing their ';natural'; hair, skin, and nail products, allegedly made with dead sea salts, and free of chemicals, etc. Are these products worth the price? Some of them seem expensive. Yesterday I let one of the sales girls use that miracle nail buffer on my nails, and they seemed all shiny and nice. But I wonder if that buffing does damage, or if it is actually good. Anyone have any experience with these natural dead sea cosmetics? Any feedback, positive or negative, would be appreciated.Dead Sea Lotions, Cosmetics, Nail Treatments, Etc. What's Your Take?
Buffing is fine, it's not going to damage your nails. What worries me is whatever is in their lotions that they're not disclosing. I had a horrible reaction to their lotion and broke out in hives all over my entire body. It took over a week to clear up (close to two actually). They swear that their product is all natural, but I can use other brands with sea salts and I'm fine.Dead Sea Lotions, Cosmetics, Nail Treatments, Etc. What's Your Take?
Buffing has nice effects, but it can thin out your nail if done more often than every 2 weeks. I'm not sure about the sea salts.

Clinique or MAC Cosmetics Need Help Deciding!?

I am a single mom and I am going back to work in order to support my daughters. My mom bought me a gift card for $150 for Macys and I wanted...no I NEED to get makeup for work! After having my twins I haven't bought makeup since 2006! I start working on the 5th of Feb and I have a makeover scheduled with the MAC counter, but I also saw the Clinique counter in the store as well. I am a busy mom, with not alot of time for complicated makeup/skincare routines but Clinique does not require an appointment for a makeover. Both lines also seem reasonably priced. Through your own personal experiance which do you think I should go with? I am also in my early 30's if that helps at all.Clinique or MAC Cosmetics Need Help Deciding!?
Clinique foundations are very irritating, despite their false advertising claims of being hypoallergenic. Their mascara makes my eyes burn and tear. I have to recommend MAC. The quality of their products is outstanding. If you don't have a lot of time but still want a full complement of makeup, you need an eyeliner, a mascara, a warm neutral pink blush, two or three lipsticks and a light to medium coverage foundation and possibly a concealer. I also recommend two makeup brushes, one for foundation and one for blush. MAC sells great brushes. That will eat up your 150 bucks.Clinique or MAC Cosmetics Need Help Deciding!?
it depends. Mac's more of the dramatic look, very sharp and edgy. Clinique's more subtle and more of a daytime makeup. i'm more of a Mac girl. i work at nights. They're both nice brands. it you're looking for a conservative look, then clinique's definetly for you. Check both out. the Mac counter's always busy. try both and see which you prefer. good luck!
Skincare stuff from Clinique are good.

I am not a big fan of either brand for makeup...But it seems MAC has a larger selection of eyeshadows and lipsticks...I am not very fond of Clinique's eyeshadows or lipsticks because of their colors and they way it looks on the skin...So maybe you should try MAC if you are only looking for makeup!
I love clinique, but haven't had much experience with MAC! Though, I hear it is fabulous! I would go with MAC because it is more of a makeup (etc.) line to me whereas when I think of Clinique I also think of their toners and creams! Or mix and match~ hahah

Hope I helped %26amp; good luck with your job :)
Hey there! I just had this debate with a friend of mine. I tried both. I bought the MAC foundation in Studio Fix ..i liked it but I bought clinique super fit and it is by far better! Hope I helped.
clinique doesnt give that much coverage.

mac has a lot more variety and can conceal anything.
If you only need make up, go with MAC. If you need skincare too, Clinique is better.

What are the best financing options for cosmetic surgery?

i have no credit cards. the only thing that can build my credit is my cell phone bill... have any experiences using Care Credit? Capital One? (regarding cosmetic surgeries...)What are the best financing options for cosmetic surgery?
The BEST financing option for ANYTHING is CASH. If you can't pay cash, you can't afford it. This is a general rule. Unless your cosmetic surgery is reconstructive surgery following an accident, your don't need it at all. If it is, your medical insurance should pay for it.

    M.A.C. Cosmetics returns?

I was given a MAC eyeshadow as a gift (in Humid) but I already have the same colour. It came from BC, and I am in Ontario (Canada).

I am not too familiar with MAC as I use a different brand for my clients. Do they accept returns or even exchanges (which would be best as I'm just looking to get a new colour) on items that are used once (friend was going to buy it from me, but after swatching it, she didn't like the colour on her skin tone)? I do not have a receipt, unfortunately, as this was a gift, however it has the bar code still on it, and the stickers, etc.

    Thanks!M.A.C. Cosmetics returns?
It wouldn't hurt to go to a MAC store or counter and try to have it exchanged. It might still be possible to just return it and get money for it or maybe a credit but it really depends on the store and whatever policy they have. Most likely you can just have it exchanged or get a store credit just because you don't have a receipt for that.

    Good luck!

PS - If you decide to call a MAC store most likely they're just gonna tell you that they would need to see the product first before they can tell you if you can have it exchanged or not.M.A.C. Cosmetics returns?
You can read about MAC's return policy here:

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/customerserv鈥?/a>

It has an address to return it to and everything.

It says it has to be unused, though, but you could possibly get away with it because it was only used once. It doesnt say you need a receipt or anything.

So I guess just send it back and youll get a full money return :)
The Mac return policy is a bit broad. Your best bet is call your local stores that carry Mac and ask them about their return policy. A lot easier than going from store to store!

For ppl in cosmetics/fragrances at dept. stores!!?

If you work in the cosmetic areas or fragrance areas of a dept. store (I work for Macy's in a smaller city) what kinds of ';spiffs'; do you get?

ie: we used to be able to get tester bottles of perfume and new employees got to try skin care so they got certain testers to try at home. Now that we have turned over to a new district, we arent allowed to even take home SAMPLES! I think it is so unfair and since we work there I think we should be able to at least try the products we sell and get to have contests etc. that have prizes like all the testers we have!

When we get rid of the testers, we have to give them to our Lost Prevention MNGR. and he breaks them and disposes of the substance in a big tub. UNFAIR!!!

Tell me what you think, what do you guys get to do...ETC! Sorry if I can't explain well. :)For ppl in cosmetics/fragrances at dept. stores!!?

  • Have you bought cosmetics from an Israeli spy? Should America be concerned?

While white old man are complaining at town hall meetings, Israel Defense Force (IDF) are conducting paramilitary training at the Catskills camp.

The camp once belonged to the Jewish Defense League (JDL), a designated terrorist organization in the United States.

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was once a follower of Rabbi Meir Kahane, the founder of the JDL and the outlawed racist Kach Party in Israel. Many Kahanists openly celebrated the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995.

The dancing Israelis were celebrating on 9/11 as the buildings burned and when they were picked up by the FBI, they said they'd been ';tracking the Arab terrorists, gave them money';, etc. But the FBI let them leave.

What are these Israeli spies doing this time?Have you bought cosmetics from an Israeli spy? Should America be concerned?
Oh, you are blaming the Jews once again. Why do you people do that? I mean you talk about things, but then you cannot back yourself up by giving any sources. I think it was the other way around that the radical Islamists were dancing around on 9/11. You have your facts all wrong my deary. Animal Testing of Cosmetics?? What do they do?

So, for my persuasive essay in english class i chose to write about animal testing of cosmetics and why it SHOULD be banned. My three main arguments are: the fact that it is cruel and immoral, it can be inaccurate and the alternatives.

For my seccond paragraph I need to know exactly what they do to the poor innocent animals, which tests they preform, etc. I know that they do the draize test on bunnies but details would be helpful etc.

if you give me any links PLEASE make sure they DO NOT have images. I feel really terrible and it will make my stomach turn.

thanks for all the answers! :)Animal Testing of Cosmetics?? What do they do?
They rub it on sensitive areas of their body. Like spray hairspray in their eyes (and we all know that burns!), force them to ingest it, put it on their anus or inside their ears to see how it effects their skin.

Animal testing is useless for cosmetics because humans do not have the same skin or anything as animals. We will react differently.

Also, we do not put hairspray in our eyes or lipstick in our butts. Therefor making the studies obsolete.Animal Testing of Cosmetics?? What do they do?
    Here I found i online
no one really knows what they do! and i agree with you 100% its horrible! MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE WHY THEY DO IT! that willl get you a good gade. i did an essay just like you! GOOD LUCK.

    MAC or Clinique cosmetics only.?

I have MAC Studio Fix, the Powder and the Fluid, The concealer in the pot, the eyeliner, the mascara, and the 129 brush, and fix+.

I love the eyeliner, the concealer, and the fix powder, the other stuff not so much.

    So I'm returning it.

I usually wear just concealer[under eye], foundation[uneven skintone], eyeliner, and mascara, and my studio fix powder.

But I don't know if I wanna keep wearing mascara and eyeliner, because even though I'm gay, most gay guys aren't into that, and I neeeds more dates tbh.

I want a foundation [creme, stick, or liquid], that won't oxidize[turn orange], provides DECENT coverage, looks like skin [i.e. natural, not cakey at all], and will make me not too matte, but not too dewy.

I will only use mac or clinique, so don't reccomend any other brands.

Please tell me the exact name of the foundation you reccomend.MAC or Clinique cosmetics only.?
Well you can try MAC Studio Fix Stick which is really natural looking and not too dewy and definately not cakey.

Also you can try MAC Hyperreal foundation which is liquid and it gives the skin a really nice glow.

I also recommend the 187 brush if you don't already have it. It is amazing, in my opinion the only brush apart from the 182 worth the price. It is really soft and you can use it for foundation, powder, blush and bronzer.

    =)MAC or Clinique cosmetics only.?
as far as the mascara i think u should go on whereing it, i mean look at all the eye make up gim morrison wore and he was hot. and,http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
I agree mac can foundations and powders can be too heavy and un-natural for everyday use. Oh but how I do love mac eyeshadows, liners, bronzers, blush, and lip glass!!!

I would recommend you try perfectly real foundation and perfectly real powder...there are a ton of shades so you can get your exact match! And like the name of it perfectly real...it looks like skin!

If you don't want a real Mascara look try clinque's naturally glossy mascara...its not lenthening and volumizing...it simply gives color to the lashes that you already have.

I would recomend focusing more on having nice eyebrows rather than focusing on eyeliner.
LOL You won't get many answers when you limit your possibilities. Why limit your self to only two brands. You may fall in lust with something if you only give it a try.

Anyway, out of only having those two choices I would go for the Clinique unless your a runway model, which I doubt. MAC is way to heavy for everyday use and look really bad on almost everyone I have seen use it. To me it looks no different than Covergirl without the ';glow';, because the ';glow'; that the drugstore makeup has (including the Bare Minerals) looks like you have a greasy face in picture and bright lights.

I know it's a bit long but I hope I have given you some help.

Which cosmetic brand is popular in Korea?

My girlfriend likes the Face Shop best. They have lots of convenient locations too.Which cosmetic brand is popular in Korea?
For you mid-ranged cosmetics The Face Shop and Skin Food are probably the most popular. However, in the department stores like Lotte or Shinsegae laneige 화장품 http://www.laneige.com/intro.jsp may be one of the most popular Korean brands in Korea and in Asia.

Other popular Korean brands are Hera and IOPE. The Japanese brand SKII is quite expensive and naturally then popular too.

Most of the best sellers are Lancome and all those other ones that are best sellers in all of Asia and the world really.
I find products from Gowoonsesang (esp. Dr.G) and LG Household %26amp; Healthcare useful.

Makeup Removal??? Mac Cosmetics?? 2 questions! Thanks!!!???

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I have two questions, and want to thank you for reading!

    1) My cleanser doesn't remove all of my makeup (I used a very strong astringent afterward, even though I normally hate it, and the cottonball was covered with my makeup). I reallly like this cleanser because it is gentle for my sensitive skin and hasn't broken me out. SHould I use some kind of makeup removal pad before I wash my face? Any other tips?

    2) I have a 25$ gift certificate to MAC and I normally don't use their products because it is way to heavy. Which products do you reccommend? I definetly want to try the Fibre something mascara, but any other amazing products?

Thanks!Makeup Removal??? Mac Cosmetics?? 2 questions! Thanks!!!???
Hi! I hate when my make up doesnt all come off. I've found out that its the #1 way to make my skin break out. I currently use Cetaphil face wash (from your corner drugstore). Its very gentle, and leaves a light moisture on your face. If you dont want the moisture you can try this face wash by Fresh, called Soy Make-Up Remover. This stuff is amazing. It's expensive ($38) for my taste so I've stopped using it, but it changed my skin for the better. You can get it online or at Sephora. I like both of these face washes because they get ALL the make up off.

If you aren't interested in changing your face wash - then I would use the rest of your MAC gift certificate to buy a make up remover. That would do the trick. It just adds an extra step to your routine - and I always try to avoid that.

p.s. Be sure to try MAC Plush Lash Mascara also! Also, if your astringent is really that strong - it could be your dead skin cells - unless its clearly a make-up color!

***MAC has a make-up remover wipe thats $16 bucks. It works well. They also have one for sensitive skin if thats more along the lines of what you need.Makeup Removal??? Mac Cosmetics?? 2 questions! Thanks!!!???
you probably don't need a makeup remover except for eye makeup. i would take the eyemakeup off first. wet your face and hands, add a decent amount of cleanser to your hands and work into a lather. work the lather into your face for atleast 30-45 seconds. rinse your hands and while they are still wet work the lather into your face again. use small circles and the pads of your fingers. then use a clean wet washcloth to remove the cleanser. if that doesn't take off your makeup then you may want to switch makeup. anything oil based will be harder to take off.
Hey, my makeup remover if great, lol.. its ';baby oil'; but it really works. i heard that alot of celeb and model's are using it too. cuz almost everything disappear after one sweep. but if u got acne problem you shouldn't use it.. cuz if u don't use soap it probably wont be good for your skin (alot of acne) but i dont have this problem so it works really good on me (:
    this works every time

wash your face with some light soap

get a wet cotton ball and take all the excess make up off

then dry it and take some lotion preferably face lotion/moisturizer and put it on a q-tip. then just take it off. the lotion is really good for your skin and takes the makeup off so easily/gently . i discovered it a long time ago and now it's in all these magazines. try it.

they do have heavy products but try their mac lipglass. this lipgloss stays on for along time with a large variety of colors. mac has really nice lip products and you should look at the lipstick too. its definately worth it. if you don't want eyeshadow or any other';heavy'; makeup products buy their brushes which are good quality and it makes applying your makeup easier too

    hope this helps

it's pretty tough to get in

you have to have a LOT of experience, and if you dont...

you have to be able to apply some amaaaazing makeup

to be honest, MAC isn't 'experience' or just a little job to further your career, working for MAC IS a career, a lot of makeup artists aspire to work at MAC one day

MAC doesn't train you, you have to be a fiiierce (yep I just said fierce haha) makeup artist with a killer portfolio (like modelling), they do send you to 'basic' which is learning about the products and ingredients

    hope that helped a little

What types of cosmetics are you interested in?

I just started my Mary Kay Business and I have to order inventory. So I am interested in what the average girl would be interested in buying. Would you truly buy Satin Lips? How about Satin Hands? What types of foundation are you into: liquid, powder (loose or pressed), or mineral powder (loose or pressed)? What lip colors look good? Which ones don't? Are you interested more in the TimeWise anti-aging skincare or in a basic skin care regimen with cleanser, toner, mask, and moisturizer? Would it affect your decision if you found out that it is good to start an anti-aging product by the time your 22 to combat aging before it starts to happen? What about the various eye creams and highlighters? What about spa and body products, would you buy them and which ones? Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

This is the website: www.marykay.com/makeup101What types of cosmetics are you interested in?
I think that I would buy satin lips if it wasn't so expensive, probably satin hands, too. I'm interested in a loose translucent powder that makes a matte, natural look. I've been looking for one for a really long time. I've also looked for a brown, nude color for lip gloss that is relatively thick so you can actually see the color. (Like the lip gloss this girl is wearing: http://www.eyeslipsface.com/looks.asp -- go to ';next'; on the ';more looks'; and click on the girl in the very top left hand corner or go to the drop down menu and click ';Au Naturale';.) I think for when I get older (I'm only 16) I'd like a face wash that is both anti-age and anti-blemish (blackheads, acne, ect...). I think something that would affect my decision is other people's reviews and, of course, the cost. I personally wouldn't buy a spa and body product. What types of cosmetics are you interested in?
First of all you don't have to order inventory you are choosing to order it and your directory should be helping you with this information. What do you like what will or do you use that is what you will sell. Skin care satin hands and satin lips sell mascara and eye make up remover sells then after that it all depends what is your potential client base are you doing a grand opening or booking shows?
well i like mineral foundation the best. And basic skin care is probley the easiset and fastest thing to do if your on the go. and i acutlly like masks like the ones for your pores that you leave on for about 10 minutes. lip colors depend on what everyone likes . matte colors are popular too.

    Where r the cosmetics factories?

There are two main Japanese cosmetic companies:

    Kanebo and Kao.

For Kanebo, the plants are in the following cities:

    Tsushima (Toiletries)

    Takatsuki, Takaoka (Pharmaceuticals)

    Takatsuki, Shinmachi, Fukuchiyama (Foods)

For Kao, there are eight plants in Japan, and several others worldwide. Here are the Japanese plants:

Tochigi, Sakata, Kashima, Wakayama, Tokyo, Ehime, Toyohashi, Kawasaki. Kao has six plants in Europe, eleven plants in Australia/Asia (not including the 8 plants in Japan), and five plants in the Americas.

    Hope that helps.

    Applying at MAC (cosmetics)?

So the mall near my house is opening a MAC store in a few months and Im thinking I would really like to apply and I also need a job I do understand it is a competitive job to get but being that its in a smaller town its not as competitive......anyways all the ladies at my local MAC counter know me by name and everything always comment my makeup and when I asked about working there once the one girl gave me an application and said it was worth a shot ....and I also been asked multiple times if I do makeup or if I am an artist or either gone to school for it so I figure I must have some skills lol ,,,,,,should I go for it and apply ?Applying at MAC (cosmetics)?
Go for it hon. Everytime I go to MAC either a mac girl or a customer compliments my makeup. Some customers actually think I work there haha. It's a good idea to apply especially since they just opened. I've asked some of the mac girls questions about applying that sort of thing like how do I apply or if I need like amazing makeup skills. One of them told me you basically just need retail experience and that you just give them a copy of your resume`. I told them that I was thinking of applying and they say yea you could definitely work here. From what I heard if you get an interview they'll ask you to create a day look and transform it into a night look. And they might give you a product like an eyeshadow or something and they say to create a look with it. Like a green eyeshadow or something like that. I am going to apply but I want to get more retail experience before I do. I know I have the makeup skills down pat but I want to have more retail experience. But yea you should definitely give it a shot what do you have to lose. Good luck hon.Applying at MAC (cosmetics)?
If you are one of the more sophisticated people in your area, and the current person already knows your name you have it ';in the bag';.

Just make sure to prep for the interview and wear something professional. The hiring manager might be a business type, not a fashion type.

    Good luck!
Defianately, it sounds like you have the skills. But remember, it's not just about the makeup, you have to have a background in sales, I belive. Anyway, go for it!

    Good luck!
Absolutely if you like to do makeup you should go for it.I would be extatic if i was in your position. Good Luck and Have Fun!
Of course! I think it would be a great experience for you! [=

Question about NYX Cosmetics & ELF products?

I recently started being interested in the NYX brand but so far I haven't made any purchases. I really like the ';Irises'; color single eyeshadow and I was wondering if one of the colors of the ';Aquamarine'; trio was almost exactly the same to it (I can't really tell on my computer screen and the dozens of different videos on Youtube because their qualities are all different).

I've heard that the singles are more pigmented than the trios. Can someone who's had experience with both the singles and the trios from NYX let me know their opinions? Which would be a better buy and even if the trios have less color payoff, is the quality total crap or decent?

And if you have any input on their other products, I'd appreciate that as well.

As for the ELF products, what's good and what's not worth buying (if you aren't familiar with the brand, all of their products are $1 and the make cosmetics, tools, etc). I'm especially interested in their makeup brushes.

Thanks! =DQuestion about NYX Cosmetics %26amp; ELF products?
Honestly I wouldn't buy their makeup brushes... Loew-Cornell brushes you can buy at Michaels or any craft store that have the ';look of MAC brushes'; but longer stem are better to buy!! Michael's has them for sale right now... http://www.michaels.com/

Stick with NYX cosmetics because of the pigmentation of the colors... ELF products are a good price (found eyeshadows and lip glosses for 0.29 cents at Big Lots).... but the quality isn't as good as NYX.

You are better using NYX products especially the Aquamarine trio...

Good luck!Question about NYX Cosmetics %26amp; ELF products?
ELF's brushes are soo GOOD they are worth it..well not the smudge brush and the

NYX i love them..I have there eyeshadow and fake eyelashes but go to like hair stores they are cheaper like i have 2 trios (cotton candy and another one) and they was like 2 dollars each they are awesome i have one single it was a 1.50 it was ok

    they are high pigmented

Which do you think is a better cosmetics line Prescriptives or MAC Cosmetics?

My wife is seven months pregnant with twins and I want to treat her to a makeover to make her feel better. After being the odd one out (the only guy besides the makeup guy) scouring the cosmetics in the mall I found both prescriptives and MAC to be appealing. Now my wife is very fair skinned and it is really hard to match her foundation, so the foundations are especially what I found appealing to me in both cosmetics lines. I want to get her a gift card and schedule a makeover for her, but I don't know which line to go with and which one will give her a total makeover that she will like. Her struggles are allways with finding a good foundation because whatever she buys I find that it leaves a line on her face. I don't want to hurt her feelings so I am trying to be tactical on how I tell her, in other words I haven't and I am just going to get her a gift card. So which line do you prefer, think would be better, Prescriptives or MAC, and what makes you like one line over the other?Which do you think is a better cosmetics line Prescriptives or MAC Cosmetics?
If her struggle is foundation, I strongly recommend Prescriptives, they don't just custom match your coloring exactly, but they also match your skin needs (dry, oily, combination, prone to break-outs, etc) and the foundation's coverage (for example: does she prefer a heavier, full-coverage foundation or just a tinted moisturizer; and everything in between) and the look of this foundation (matte or shimmery or a combination), oh and if you want to add some extras (like aybe UV protection, or an anti-aging complex) they'll do it. So it REALLY *is* a custom foundation. Also, all their ingredients are top-notch. I've been using Prescriptives foundation for over 5 years and my woes are over, I wouldn't use anything else and I wonde what took me so long for me to start using it.

Basically there's nothing better -foundation-wise- than Prescriptives. It's not THAT expensive (ranges from $30dlls to, maybe $45- $50)

That being said, you can't beat MAC for products when it comes to adding color to you face. What I mean by this is that, it's basically like a painting: with your Prescrptive foundation you created a perfect base, like a canvas, now for doing adding the color (eye-makeup, lipstick, pencils, blushes, glosses, etc.) MAC has every color imanginable (and some un-imaginables too *lol) in every texture, etc. Also, top-notch ingredients and accesible prices.

So why don't you treat her to a full-face makeover, with foundation at Prescriptives and the coloring at MAC?

P.S. Be a smart consumer, don't gravitate to a place just because you like their upbeat attitude or coolness factor. You'll just end up buying stuff you don't need or want from and upbeat and cool salepersonWhich do you think is a better cosmetics line Prescriptives or MAC Cosmetics?
I could say some things good and bad abot both companies. I thin MAC handsdown is better at matching foundation although Prespectives does custom blend but go to MAC bcus the vibe is slightly more upbeat and i think the rest of their products are better. For $50 purchase MAC will do her makeover but honestly $75 would be a better giftcard amount. plus if it's for the MAC in the MACY's she'll get a MACy's giftcard she can use somewhere else if she changes her mind
    MAC!:)

p.s. im sure she will appreciate it TONS whichever line you decide on, its very sweet of you!
first of all, you should know that both mac and prescriptives are owned by estee lauder (as are origins and clinique), so all of these brands will have some similar products. however, for the *perfect* foundation, you should definitely go to prescriptives for a custom blend for her skin type and tone. their foundations are also healthier for the skin than mac's, which have been known to cause acne. for a complete face, you should budget $75 to $100....foundation, blush, lip color, and about 3-4 eye products. she may also be interested in their skin care. congrats on the twins, and how sweet of you to do this for your wife. she will be very impressed and grateful!
In general I like MAC better, but if she has a hard time finding foundation colors, go Prescriptives. They custom blend your foundation to match your exact skintone.
Mac is such a good brand!

It stays on and lasts very good, also comes in a bunch of shades for different tones of skin.

    Expesive, but very good :)
Aww that's so sweet of you..I hope my husband does that when I'm married and pregnant haha. I am total MAC addict...most girls/women are MAC fanatics...their makeup is so pigmented and vibrant, and the quality is really good. I don't know much about Prescriptives and don't really hear much about it. If a makeup artist does her makeup they wouldn't leave a line on her face. The line is there either because she doesn't use the right shade of foundation or she doesn't blend it out into her jawline that well.

    Good luck!
prescriptives face makeup is much better because they match your makeup shade perfectly because they make the makeup there in your own personal shade! mac foundantion breaks me out and it does to my friends to. perscriptives will cost you a lot of money because they coustom blend the makeup for you but its sooooo worth it to have the perfect shade of makeup! M.A.Cs eye makeup is the shitzzzz though! so treat her to some MAC eye makeup to!

    Frustrated with MAC cosmetics! :P?

okay, i'm having the HARDEST time finding a foundation thats right for my skin!!

i'm on my fourth time going back and trying out different things. so far i've tried the Select and Studio Fix and both have been WAYYY to cakey for me. Now, i've heard and read great things about the Studio Sculpt Foundation, and i'm guessing because its a gel base that it will do me good.

    My skin is:

    - Blochy and red in my cheeks, nose and chin

    - blemishes on my chin and forehead ( only a little bit)

    - i'm using acne washes to clear my forehead up so around the edges of my nose and in between my eye brows and around that area is dry.

will studio sculpt foundation be a good match for my skin??!! please please PLEASE help me someone!! :P thanks soo much! :)Frustrated with MAC cosmetics! :P?
i used to work at mac and i use that foundation all the time but if you have acne its best not to use it you may want to try thier pressed powder which doesnt clogg pores and some are for oily skin that sucks up the oli from your skin which oli cause acne so that will help anymore questions about makeup email me at beachgirl11015@yahoo.com i study makeup toFrustrated with MAC cosmetics! :P?
MAC was first used as stage make up, gives you great coverage but VERY heavy, You should only keep it for special occasions.

i have the same type of skin as you and i use Revlon colourstay, its has the good coverage of MAC but is lighter, just remember to take it off every night
If you are worried about foundation being cakey, then I say stay away form Studio Sculpt. I recommend either Revlon ColorStay for Oily skin (low end) or MakeUp For Ever HD Foundation (HIgh end).
if you dont want it cakey

youre supposed to warm it up on your hands...

and you should really throw out your brush/clean it just in case of germs

moisterize your face after your wash your face girl.

    try samples at the mall
If you have acne it's best not to use Mac. Try a mineral foundation.
It took me forever to figure out my skin too! I ended up going to the westminister mall and all you do is ask for what color your skin foundation should be and they will put you in that chair and give you a little makeover. As she's doing it you'll pick up on the technique, like I never used the right brushes or even the right amount until I went there and they showed me everything. The same stuff I was using now works perfectly, I just wasn't using it right at first... She even kept me on the same color which I always thought was too dark on me but after she did it, it looked great!

Can you name me good natural/organic cosmetic brand?

I am only curious about cosmetic stuff now, like lipstick, powder, eyeshadows etc.Can you name me good natural/organic cosmetic brand?
Hi, there are acutally a few natural makeup lines. Included are Bare Escentuals, Garden Botanika, Origins, and Aveda. Can you name me good natural/organic cosmetic brand?
B Never Too Busy To B Beautiful and Lush are both amazing cosmetic companies.

Yes, they are a little expensive but they are stupidly effective, smell fantastic and most importantly (to me anyway) they arent tested on animals. So its well worth it.

Plus, in the case of 'B' stuff, they do shades that you cant find anywhere else, in particular blues, greens and aquamarines.

    Hope this helps.
Well, I don't know any off hand but...why don't you try www.peta2.org it's an excellent enviromental/animal activist website. They have some pretty cool stuff like that.
Yes. Bare Escentuals, also called Bare Minerals. It uses minerals from the earth and is very good. Bare Escentuals can be purchased from QVC which is what I do because if I don't like what I order, I can return it within 30 days and get my money back. You can also view all their products on QVC.

    Good wishes.

There are coupons for these three brands and several other organic beauty stores at:

my fav is Origins it works the best for me
Burt's Bees. It's made from organic materials and looks pretty and natural. Plus it doesn't harm your skin.
    Bare essentials is in trend
    puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
I like a company called Simply Karen. Their products are less expensive than other companies that I looked at, but they are absolutely beautiful. They have been very helpful to me and ship very quickly.

    Synthetic or natural cosmetics?

    Which ones are really better?

Now let me give some information about both:

Synthetic:Mineral oil, talcum powder, aluminum, parabens, even sunscreenexc. Are called carconegic by a lot of people but there is no PROOF for this and what I mean by PROOF is that there where no testing on people, they were done in enormous amounts they were done in petri dishes, fed to the animals. There are no double blind, placebo controlled, published and peer viewed studies.

Which means althougth everyone says they're bad we're not really sure.

It turns out mineral oil, talcum powder and sunscreen are perfectly safe.(It's true.)

    It

Natural are supposed to be healthier for your body but can make makeup fade faster, cause allergic reactions, irritation, are mostly hype cosmetic companies use to sell products.

    What do you think?

EDIT: I know some people have strong opinions about this but Iam going to have to ask everyone not to be rude.Synthetic or natural cosmetics?
Your question is very important for which I think you should go online and check this out: http://mydailycosmetics.com/articles

    Enjoy :)Synthetic or natural cosmetics?
I honestly think it depends on the person. For me, natural products are the best. I use all natural makeup and it keeps my skin from breaking out, and my eyes don't itch like they used to; it also doesn't fade on me throughout the day. When it comes to animal testing, yes I think it's cruel, but very few people would volunteer to have something tested on them. I think beauty companies feel they have no other choice, because they don't want everyone having allergic reactions, but humans won't volunteer.
It depends on what the person prefers, I myself use a mineral foundation and have seen improvement in my skin.

Ive used synthetic makeup for about 3 years prior to the minerals. and I was always breaking out, had dry skin.

Also the ingredient list for synthetic cosmetics said it contained Paraben which if you look into it, has shown that it can cause breast cancer.

    Foundation or Concealer?[cosmetics]?

I'm 13 years old, I use a little bit of eyeliner sometimes, and a tiny bit of lipgloss. I'm thinking about using Foundation or Concealer. Which one should I use which would be most appropriate for a 13 year old?

I don't want to overload on this, and I just need tips. But anyways, should I even be using Foundation and/or Concealer? I'm probably only going to use it to cover up blemishes[my face is kinda blotchy too].

    Help?Foundation or Concealer?[cosmetics]?
Powder usually looks really flaky so I wouldn't recommend it!Use a moisturizing foundation, or else it'll just dry out your face. The Rimmel foundation with the pink cap gives you a great glow and doesn't look chalky.

Just remember to wash it off with a mild soap at night so you dont break out!

And PLEASE choose a shade that doesn't make it look like you're wearing a mask! Always test it out first! =)Foundation or Concealer?[cosmetics]?
i think you should use a light foundation. Dont use concealer because if your wanting to use it to cover up blemishes you will end up with a uneven complextion which is different shades.

i would reccomend you try this foundation for your agehttp://www.lorealparis.co.uk/minisites/m鈥?/a>
please dont start using either yet,

your faaar too young it will ruin your skin, i started wearing it whenn i was about your age and my skin just got clogged up and ruined, and i really didnt need to wear it when i started now i have to!

if u really gottar use one, then go with a light concealer and only dab it where its blotchy not all over. x
Just use a light concealer on your blotchier spots. But make sure you wash your face before putting it on and to take it off before you go to bed, otherwise your skin will get irritated and you'll probably find yourself with some acne.
you should be wearing makeup but if your going to use foundation try applying smaller portions cuz it just irritates your skin more and did you know foundation wrinkles your skin faster! go look at my pics my skin looks that way and i dont wear foundation!!
I would use a mineral powder foundation (Physician's Formula is great, sold at drug stores) and a light concealer for any time you need to cover up blemishes (Physician's Formula or Neutrogena make good ones).
    use powder, much less harsh
ok well concealor is just that it is to conceal things you wanf hidden such a dark circles or a zit. foundatiion is to give the skin an all over even tone. they are not the same at all. you put concealor on first to hide things then i would brush on a very light coating of mineral powder foundation. not liquid to heavy! a simple rose blush on apples of cheeks a little light gloss and simple eyes such as a light dusting of a shimmery pink eyeshadow and very light mascara. be young a little goes a long way don't over do it! it looks like your trying to hard that way. I hope this helps. Good Luck pretty!!!
I am 15 but I use foundation. I bought a concealer but I rarely use it. I only use a liquid cover up for big pimples that cannot be coverd up well by powders, so I don't use it all over my face. Use a powder, I was told that liquid based foundations can cause clogging of the pores(cosmotologist). I use concealer for scratches on my face because if you only use foundation it will look miscolored. I use my old powder and take a blush brush to apply it to my whole face giving it an even look and to take away the the redness on my cheeks. ***People always say use concealer before foundation. Don't! You put some foundation on, but not a lot, and then you apply your concealer and then add a light layer of foundation over that. The foundation gives the concealer something to hold on to. And always dab your concealer in. Don't rub it in.***

  • Are Loreal/Revlon cosmetics available in Saudi ?

Hi, I m from India and have asked my friend to get cosmetics for me from saudi, but he(in jubail) doesnot actually know where they are available. Can anyone suggest the Malls to look for in Jeddah/Al Khobar/Madina.

Are men allowed in women cosmetic sections in the malls?

Also I wud be grateful if u can tell if there is a pricing difference compared to Indian prices, is it cheaper over there ?Are Loreal/Revlon cosmetics available in Saudi ?
yes, we have loreal and revlon...

all he has to do is go to any major mall.. there are many cosmetic stores.. and some of the grocery stores like giant, panda, tamimi safeway, geant, carrefour have a tiny amount of revlon in their cosmetic sections..

and men can shop in those stores as they please...

there are stores like Gazzaz, Paris Gallery, Al-Sawani that sell large amounts of cosmetics.. then the little cosmetic stores all up and down the malls... (any major mall really), there wont be any problem finding these brands. they are everywhere.. But as for price.. I find them a tad bit expensive compared to how I found in USA.. but still reasonable... Are Loreal/Revlon cosmetics available in Saudi ?
......they're available to any cosmetics boutique in small and big malls.....and its true that they're offering discounts in the month of Ramadan so grab the special offers from Sept. 1 to 30......
    yes , available

Where in the world is the cheapest cosmetic dentistry?

AlbaniaWhere in the world is the cheapest cosmetic dentistry?
the most expensive might not always be best, but the cheapest probably has a good chance of being low quality. I would look for something in mid price range.Where in the world is the cheapest cosmetic dentistry?
    Turkey!!

I'm going to Northern Ireland at the moment...its not cheap but its cheaper then Dublin!!
    Mexico
    zambia?
In countries such as Bulgaria they dentistry is very cheap but there is a reason for this. I cant tell you the amount of terrible work i've seen done for patients who come home and are in trouble with it. You cant pop back to the dentist if it giving you problems and dentists at home do not like touching this kind of problems because they might get the blame! I suggest getting healt insurance and getting the work done at home where is safer.
I don't know about particular countries, but in the US there are dental clinics at teaching universities that are cheap or even free if you qualify.

How do i make my own cosmetics and cosmetics line?

How do i make my own cosmetics and cosmetics line?

i've been searching around and i can't not find a place where i can buy wholesale supplies to make cosmetics. I want to make my own line of cosmetics but i don't know where and how to start it.

I don't want to make it become a big shot company but i just want to have a small business of my own selling my own cosmetic line.

When i register to become a whole sale buyer on a website, it asks for my company name. Well, i don't even have a company. How would i answer that if i just want to make it in my own home?!How do i make my own cosmetics and cosmetics line?
small firms have to do 99% of the things a big company has to do

    to stay alive, fyi!

what you don't have to do is hire lots of people,

put millions of $ into advertising, etc.

    start with a business plan.

Does MAC cosmetics have a yearly sale?

Okay so I don't use MAC currently but I've used their foundation and lipglass. Hate the lipglass but love the foundation. Anyways, I know that their brushes are excellent quality. My mom uses all MAC products and a while back, she got a brush set for the eyes. She got a few eyeshadow brushes, and eyeliner brush, and a couple other ones. And she said that every year (I think) MAC has a sale and she got that set of brushes for 50 dollars. She told me to save my money cause I should get it haha.

What I was wondering is, do they really have this sale she's telling me about? Has anyone ever heard of it?Does MAC cosmetics have a yearly sale?
Unfortunately, MAC does not have any sales. What your mom is talking about are the brush sets that run from 42-50 usd. They always have these sets during the holidays. Go to your nearest MAC store and find out when the release of their Hello Kitty collection is. There will be a brush set in that collection. You can get MAC for cheaper of you go to the CCO at the outlets, which sells past collection items and older items (whose packaging has been upgraded). You can also to Back to MAC, return any 6 empty MAC containers and get free lipstick or lipgloss.Does MAC cosmetics have a yearly sale?
I don't know if mac have a sale but what you can do is go to www.maccosmetics.com and sign in as a new customer and they will email you whenever they have promotions.....Thats what I did!

Try going to this site, it is a new starter kit info page for new reps:

    http://www.meetmark.com/REPSuite/pdf/sta鈥?/a>

It shows you what is in the new starter kit (it comes with a cute little case, a few makeup items and a mini brush set.)

does someone call you, then come to your house and talk to you. -how much does it really cost? some people say $10 others $20.

It is $10 if you sign up in person with an Avon District Manager (but they may not give you the kit listed above). You must have selected this option if it says someone will be contacting you to set up an appt. It is $20 to sign up online and you can instantly start going as a rep. If you actually signed up online, you would be charged the $20 immediately and they would send out the kit within a week.

how do you get samples for people to see?

You have to buy samples and demos for your customers to try out. A few things come in that initial kit, but you should buy a few more products like their skincare, fragrances, etc. to really get a good feel for the brand.

how much did you make selling mark?

Ehh this is a tough one. I have put a tonnnn of money into mark. Buying products, marketing, having parties, etc. and I actually just found out I was #4 in sales out of all reps for 2008. But you don't necessarily have to spend alot to enjoy being a rep.

When you do get signed up, definitely check out the Representative Forums on the Rep Home page, they are full of helpful tips and information.Becoming mark cosmetics rep.?
You may want to consider getting a real job. If make up is your thing, look into Clinique, MAC, Origins, Chanel, I mean the list goes on and on!! Talk to on of those girls to see how much they like it. I know 'Mark' sounds like a great business, (like Mary Kay) But all your earnings need to be invested to buy product and give aways and seminars...oh and TAXES honey, T A X E S!!!! Anyway, look I hired someone from MAc to do my make up for a photo shoot and she charged me $100. For about an hour!!!! I looked great and I will never mind paying $14 for their shadows!! At counters, customers go to you, and you do not need to recruit anyone... Pyramid
I hope the people that you plan to sell make up to you have money and are willing to order from you.

i am a mark representative, and i signed up online, paid my $20, and they sent me my ';starter kit'; in the mail, which isn't a starter kit at all. It is just a kit with blush, eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick in it. they don't send you any information on how to go about getting clients or even any order sheets.

They did send me a couple magalogs, however. but the catch is that you have to BUY the rest of them from here on out. You also have to buy all the samples that you want to distribute to people.

No one will come to your house to talk to you, you are on your own.

So to go about getting clients, you just have to talk to people, just like a door-to-door salesman. :( If you are good enough, and people buy from you, you might build up a client el, but i never had any luck, and it only ended up costing me money. unfortunately, college students don't want to order makeup.

money wise... you only make as much money as people are willing to buy from you. they place an order with you, make a check out to you (lets say) 20 dollars, and then you go online and order their product which would cost you maybe 13 dollars. you therefor make 7 dollars. (not much)

i'm sorry to seem like a downer... but i don't want you to be disappointed like i was.

good luck though!!! hopefully you'll have more luck than me.
