They're usually not as good. i've tried fake Paul Mitchell %26amp; it was totally not like the real thing. try beeroyalproducts.com or smokymountainminerals.com. Is theere fake benefit cosmetics.
It's the same thing, just a different angle and lighting. Macy's is a licensed retailer of many cosmetic companies, you can trust them and other dept store sites like Nordstrom. If it was ebay or something I'd warn yu but you have no need to worry with Macy's.
no. macys has the original benefit staiotn. its also at sephora. macys is usually where i go to get my benefit makeup. i always go to the store or online macs. trust me its not fake

  • I want my own cosmetics line....but...Help me?

I want to own a cosmetics line, so i am a biology major at a private liberal arts school and a minor in chemistry.. then i want to go to Fairleigh Dickinson to go to grad school and get a MA in Science with a Concentration in Cosmetics Science but I really want to go to Blanche MacDonald Makeup school in vancouver so that i can work while i am in Grad School( and make some really good contacts)...but i dont know if thats a good idea...what should i do? anybody own a cosmetics line or work in the businessI want my own cosmetics line....but...Help me?
in the cosmetic industry, it is easy to make money because they are cheap to manufacture with the right items and sell fast.

Don't jump into the cosmetic scene right away. first, make home-made cosmetics. the good thing is, anyone can make a cosmetics line, wether you're a small town girl or living in a huge city.

after you make your cosmetics, i advise you to sell them in etsy.com, and small botiques. small stores, and in strip malls.

you must invest a little money into your business too. it must be more than a few hundred dollars. 300 to onethousand is good enough range.

you also must choose which age or type of group to target. for example, teens, race, age, etc. the possibilities are endless, wild makeup, matte, clam makeup, etc.

starting a cosmetics line does not take a lot of ';capital';. capital is anytihng that makes a product. human resources, the machines, money, everything. when making cosmetics, if you buy raw materials from a supplier then you are ready to go. it's that easy.

and if you use a private label manufacturer, you can improve your cosmetics in labs. if you continur to improve you cosmetics, then that means increase is sales and profits :)

and create a catchy name for your makeup line. i even know a makeup brand that is called bitchslap makeup :O

    make your makeup for all types of skin and all types of races, follow trends; this can be vital because people most likley won't buy whata is not considered ';in';

and keep in mind that many cosmetic manufacturer use a lot of chemicals that are bad for you. try to use organic supplies in your makeup :)

to make your makeup, you must research that on you own, because you are the one making the makeup. a good , easy way to start is making soaps. but make them interesting, for example, make soaps look like oeros, make them look like cookies, shusi, etc.I want my own cosmetics line....but...Help me?
you're welcome. start out by making soaps. be careful with lye though, they have toxic fumes and is dangerous. Report Abuse

It's doubtful that someone that high in the line of work would give away their business secrets, but I think you should go for it. You're definitely qualified. Do a bit more research, maybe try calling some big companies like Sephora and doing a survey.

    Best of luck!

Should I ask my partner permission to have cosmetic surgery?

I'm young and good looking but had 2 kids. I'm a small frame girl. but I have this yucky (not that yucky) loose skin in my lower abdomen...I hate it. he says he can live with it. but then why does his eyes come off when he sees a nice girls stomach? I want it for me. I have always liked looking good. should I just do it. I have the doctor, I've been to the first visit and all their waiting is my yes....help!!!Should I ask my partner permission to have cosmetic surgery?
I am not sure of your exact situation but I think you should talk to him about the procedure before scheduling it. You said you have 2 kids. If they are young and still need a lot of help from you, assisting you in your daily routine might be needed while you recover. If he is going to need to help you with this it might be wise to include him in your plans. You don't have to necessarily ask him for permission but just let him know what your intentions are and perhaps consult with him as to when would be the best time to schedule it. That way you know the kids are cared for and you can be taken care of while you recover. Keep in mind that abdominal surgery can take a bit to recover from and you won't want to do too much for a while. Everyone in your life needs to be available and on board to help you get through that time.Should I ask my partner permission to have cosmetic surgery?
I don't think you need to ask permission, it's your body. However you should talk to him in terms of how it will benefit both of you. Don't bring up the other girls. Just explain to him that it would boost your self esteem which in turn could boost your libido. Explain to him the risks and possible side effects. In the long run what's important is that you both understand how this could benefit both of you. Good luck to you both.
At least ask permission. You don't really need his ';approval'; but you should still let him in on such a big decision. It's not the kinda surprise most men wud enjoy waking up to, I think many would feel slightly betrayed, as if you snuck around their back to get something accomplished. Again, even if he says ';I can live with it'; explain the situation and that u are going to have it done. He does not need to approve of it, but at least give him a chance to say ';no'; or ';i don't care'; or ';yes.'; Don't just do it without telling him.
Why would you need his permission? You're not having surgery on HIS stomach.

I would inform him, but not ask ';permission';. Just say, ';I think I will be much more comfortable with my stomach after this surgery.'; Tell him when it's going to be and how much it's going to cost, so he has the details, and then do it.

I would think long and hard about a surgery, though. Make sure it's what you really want. And good luck! :)
But there's nothing wrong with getting it done, but its not going to make you happy if you are looking for it to make you happy. Plastic surgery should be done for you, not to make others like you more or anything like that. I wouldn't even consider what he thinks of it, or what you think he thinks about it. Otherwise, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.
I THINK YOU SHOULD ASK HIM BUT DO IT FOR YOU NOT FOR HIM,

IF HE LOVES YOU HE WOULD LOVE YOU FOR EVERYTHING NOT JUST YOUR LOOSE SKIN. I MEAN COMMON YOU HAVE HAD TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN.

BUT YEH IF YOU WANT TO DO IT YOU SHOULDNT ASK FOR HIS PERMISSION MAYBE JUST SEE WHAT HE THINKS OF THE IDEA.

    OTHERWISE TRY WORKING OUT :)

GOOD LUCK AND MERRY XMAS!!! :)
No. It's your body. Do it for yourself, not for your partner.
    yes

id say go for it if its gonna make that area look better hell i would!

right now my two options are : this one http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15108%26amp;PRODUCT_ID=PROD10342

    OR THIS ONE .

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15108%26amp;PRODUCT_ID=PROD1624

please help me decide . thanks. :)Best powder form mac cosmetics ?
you best bet is to go with the mineralize skinfinish but if you have skin that is prone to being oily this is not for you cause it has a slight sheen to it. maybe you should get the loose instead of the pressed mineralize. the select sheer doesn't have mush pigment in it . thats something you use to set your makeup or to just take the shine out of your skinBest powder form mac cosmetics ?
I'd get the first one. I love MAC.
I really do not recommend mac for a foundation or any face makeup! i used mac the studio fix powder and it made my face look fake and really bad! i do like macs mascara and eyeshadow but definetley not any face products. try using the bare escentuals i live it!!!!

Question for muslims (about cosmetics etc)?

Salam Aleykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakaatuhu!

What do you think about perfumes and other cosmetics and beauty products what contains alcohol (alcohol denat etc) and probably pig stuffs?

i have heard that steareath and its compounds are most probably pork related (source peta)..

can i buy/use them or i commit a sin when i do that? please note that my country has no Islamic perfumes (oil based ones) and no ';the body shop'; stores.. what if i have no evidence about this steareathe because maybe it is not pork but maybe it is? :-s

i know it sounds complicated.. so what can i do?

when i buy an alcohol-free deo or body lotion i soon realize that it has steareathe or its compounds.. maybe i worry a lot but i want to know what can i do if i have no evidence about these things, nothing but my worries and doubts..

(of course i do not use perfume in front of men, only at home)Question for muslims (about cosmetics etc)?
Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim - In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

    Salaam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah

I am including below a link to the website islam-qa.com. They give a very comprehensive answer to your questions. I'll try to hit the high points but you must read the full answer to get a full understanding.

Something that is haraam, like pork, remains haraam if it is used in other products where it does not undergo a chemical change that changes its nature. So, pork fat from a pig is haraam; pork fat in a pie crust is still haraam.

But if the nature of something changes and it no longer resembles that from which it came, and it is no longer called what it was, it is permissible. Pork bones are haraam; gelatin, which is rendered from pork bones and connective tissues, undergoes a comprehensive chemical change in the rendering process and no longer resembles what it came from, nor is it called by the same name. Thus, its use is permissible.

The cosmetics you mention may be permissible and they may not, depending on the level of change the fats or other substances have undergone. This is something you'd have to really do a chemical study on. Since there are nowadays many animal-free light and wonderful cosmetics, you can stay away from anything doubtful and still enjoy making yourself up for a party with the ladies or for your husband.

Also, a word about alcohol. Most of what is termed ';alcohol'; in perfumes does NOT come under the heading of khamr, or the type of alcohol which intoxicates. Calling it alcohol merely denotes that it has a certain chemical composition which includes some element I forget. There is a huge difference between ethyl alcohol, which is drinkable, and wood alcohol or isoproply alcohol, which would kill you. The situation there is that the word in English is the same but the substances are completely different.

You might contact the company whose products you are using. Some are happy to provide information on the origins of their ingredients. Just don't be surprised if you find there are ground up beetles in your eyeshadow!

    Fi Aman Allah,

PS. The first link is in English, though the Islam qa website offers different languages. The second site is a different one and is in Arabic.Question for muslims (about cosmetics etc)?
Muslim women around the world (including my family) wear perfume and cosmetics. I don't see anything wrong with it. Its up to you but I think that's being way too strict WS
plz stop worrying,I have a doctorate in science, the air u inhale n exhale have countless micro organisms, enjoy life before it passes
Hey there, hmm, I'm Muslim too so this question kinda caught my eye. Well, I don't think it should be a problem with the perfume. And by cosmetics, if you mean makeup, a little is always okay. You wanna look natural though. And for us, I guess it also depends on your age. I'm 15 so my mom only lets me use a little makeup sometimes for certain occasions and I really have no problem w/that. I kinda like the natural look anyway. But yea, back to my point, if you're married I guess you can wear makeup also. But yea, idk about you, but my family is somewhat religious, I mean not so upright and strict, but we still follow and keep our beliefs although living in the US. and I don't see how makeup and perfume could be of any problem (; Remember, it's the person you are inside, and the good deeds that you do that make you a GOOD person all around, if ya know what I mean. You are definitely not sinning, or considered a ';bad'; person by wearing makeup or putting on perfume. We are women. We should be able to feel pretty/smell extra special sometimes.

Hope that encouraged ya a little to not feel so bad about this.
I was about to provide a link from www.islamqa.com which sister Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid has already given you. That's a good website for your future referances. You can search the question which people already have asked and figure out.
if u r Muslim you have to obey

dude u wont commit a sin WTF

    im muslim

and all that u wrote is gay sorry

extreamists make islam look really bad no offence
    assalam o alaikom.

i will try to answere this question. im not a scholar. i m just a student learning islam. i can tell u that u can use pig products, u just cant consume it.same thing goes for alcohol. prophet SAW restricted us from drinking alcohol because we get drunk from doing so.but if there is alcohol in ur perfune, and you're not drinking the perfume(hope ur not)its all good.by the way, the alcohol u drink and the alcohol used in perfumes are completely diffrent.pork and alocohol are haraam to eat and drink. not to wear as perfume.

he prohibited all tht stuff for alcohol tht is to be drinken. as i said b4, all tht you drink(such as wine, beer, and all those bad things) and alcohol used in perfumes are completely diffrent things. i know so because i heard a lecture about this stuff from an Alim. for pork all tht stuff again is for the meat that 1 would eat. pork causes diseases in humans(this is scientifically proven).that is why it is haraam. the stuff tht comes from pork does not have tht disease stuff cause its been chemically cleaned.
Muslim women around the world (wear perfume and cosmetics. I don't see anything wrong with it. Its up to you but I think that's being way too strict .there is nothing wrong in that .....and mind this u r not supposed to raise a question like this on this community site
