thanksANIMAL TESTING FOR COSMETICS!!!!?
The majority of animals used to test cosmetics were rabbits and the test was the Draze test. The Draze test was a test for allergic reaction, basically the cosmetic was injected into the eye of the rabbit and the animal was observed to see is a reaction developed and how bad it was. The FDA does not require the Draze test in most cases so it has largely been abandoned by the cosmetic industry because of the expense. All animal testing is regulated by both the FDA and the USDA you can find a good deal of information at the USDA web site. Finding statistics on animal testing will be almost impossible, there is no requiement for the companies that do animal testing to release information to the public and the USDA doesn't collect statistics.ANIMAL TESTING FOR COSMETICS!!!!?

i don't like it

2- what are the pros and cons of animal testing for cosmetics?

they hurt animals with the testing they don't hurt people with the testing

3- if their would be a law passed for that in america, how would they do it. would they decide on their own and who would decide and would they take a public vote?

public vote

4- has thier been a law already passed for that? wat is it called?

no

6- is their a reliable website for statistics on animal testing for cosmetics in america and internationally?

not that i know of

when they test eye shadow on bunnies they pull their eye lids open so they cant close them and sometimes they go blind. :((
1. I think it is disgusting, inhumane, and unnecessary.

2. There are no pros. Cons it is harming animals for NO REASON. Those developing cosmetics can grow skin in petrie dishes (there is a method of doing this) and it is ridiculous to use animals when animals don't react in the same way as humans would.

3. It would probably depend on the individual state.

4. There is not a law prohibiting animal testing for cosmetics, if thats what you're asking.

5. It is hard to find websites without a bias. Google search this, and find answers from both sides of the debate.
