Becoming mark cosmetics rep.?

i just signed up to become a representative, but their website doesnt have much info on this! so if you could give me any info about it, especially if you are one!

-what happens when you first sign up?

-does someone call you, then come to your house and talk to you. -how much does it really cost? some people say $10 others $20.

-how do you get samples for people to see?

-do the people that help you get started bring the starter kit?

-What does it have in it?

-how much did you make selling mark?

THANKS! :)Becoming mark cosmetics rep.?
Try going to this site, it is a new starter kit info page for new reps:

http://www.meetmark.com/REPSuite/pdf/sta鈥?/a>

It shows you what is in the new starter kit (it comes with a cute little case, a few makeup items and a mini brush set.)

It is $10 if you sign up in person with an Avon District Manager (but they may not give you the kit listed above). You must have selected this option if it says someone will be contacting you to set up an appt. It is $20 to sign up online and you can instantly start going as a rep. If you actually signed up online, you would be charged the $20 immediately and they would send out the kit within a week.

how do you get samples for people to see?

You have to buy samples and demos for your customers to try out. A few things come in that initial kit, but you should buy a few more products like their skincare, fragrances, etc. to really get a good feel for the brand.

how much did you make selling mark?

Ehh this is a tough one. I have put a tonnnn of money into mark. Buying products, marketing, having parties, etc. and I actually just found out I was #4 in sales out of all reps for 2008. But you don't necessarily have to spend alot to enjoy being a rep.

When you do get signed up, definitely check out the Representative Forums on the Rep Home page, they are full of helpful tips and information.Becoming mark cosmetics rep.?
You may want to consider getting a real job. If make up is your thing, look into Clinique, MAC, Origins, Chanel, I mean the list goes on and on!! Talk to on of those girls to see how much they like it. I know 'Mark' sounds like a great business, (like Mary Kay) But all your earnings need to be invested to buy product and give aways and seminars...oh and TAXES honey, T A X E S!!!! Anyway, look I hired someone from MAc to do my make up for a photo shoot and she charged me $100. For about an hour!!!! I looked great and I will never mind paying $14 for their shadows!! At counters, customers go to you, and you do not need to recruit anyone... Pyramid
I hope the people that you plan to sell make up to you have money and are willing to order from you.

i am a mark representative, and i signed up online, paid my $20, and they sent me my ';starter kit'; in the mail, which isn't a starter kit at all. It is just a kit with blush, eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick in it. they don't send you any information on how to go about getting clients or even any order sheets.

They did send me a couple magalogs, however. but the catch is that you have to BUY the rest of them from here on out. You also have to buy all the samples that you want to distribute to people.

No one will come to your house to talk to you, you are on your own.

So to go about getting clients, you just have to talk to people, just like a door-to-door salesman. :( If you are good enough, and people buy from you, you might build up a client el, but i never had any luck, and it only ended up costing me money. unfortunately, college students don't want to order makeup.

money wise... you only make as much money as people are willing to buy from you. they place an order with you, make a check out to you (lets say) 20 dollars, and then you go online and order their product which would cost you maybe 13 dollars. you therefor make 7 dollars. (not much)

i'm sorry to seem like a downer... but i don't want you to be disappointed like i was.

good luck though!!! hopefully you'll have more luck than me.
