Hiring at mac cosmetics?

ok,im a freelance makeup artist but i want to get a job at mac,for experience,and also because i need to pay the bills.anywho,what are the requirements?i took in a resume,that stated my qualifications as far as makeup,and makeup schools,but the manager said it would be a good idea to work for nordstrom first ,then they hire u from there...does this mean because u need cashier/retail experience?so that means to work for make all the girls have experience from somewhere else..i figured they would hire you and train???does this also apply to a mac boutique??Hiring at mac cosmetics?
okay so i work for nordstrom, if you go into the cosmetics dept than you would get paid hourly from your cosmetic line and nordstrom pays a percentage i believe like 3 for your sales, try to contact the hr and let them know that your interested in cosmetics. The lines also train you so you could get that experience that mac is looking for if you do it that way.Hiring at mac cosmetics?

you have to have a LOT of experience, and if you dont...





you have to be able to apply some amaaaazing makeup





to be honest, MAC isn't 'experience' or just a little job to further your career, working for MAC IS a career, a lot of makeup artists aspire to work at MAC one day





MAC doesn't train you, you have to be a fiiierce (yep I just said fierce haha) makeup artist with a killer portfolio (like modelling), they do send you to 'basic' which is learning about the products and ingredients
