Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!Make up...cosmetics.... skin problems.?
Have you tried going to your nearest Clinique counter to get a product to address the redness? They have some great rosacea and redness solution products that might help reduce some of the redness on your face. It won't cure the problem, but it will help. I've used some of them and they really work (even better than what my dermatologist gave me!).
The only way to dramatically reduce the redness is to get a chemical peel. The results are amazing, but it's pretty costly.
In the meantime....to cover it, start with a foundation primer. Try Smashbox's Photo Finish primer in the green tone. The green pigment will hide the redness and give you an even canvas to apply your foundation.
Then cover it with a silicon-based foundation, like MAC's Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15. It's a medium coverage foundation that is buildable, so you can add layer upon layer and it won't cake up on you. Also, it has light reflectors in it, so it makes your skin look flawless.
Touch up any individual problem areas with concealer. I like Lancome's Maquicomplet. It has great coverage.
Set everything with powder and you should be good to go! I used this same method on someone who had severe acne and rosacea for a photo shoot and she looked amazing - like a totally different person! I know that's not the same as lupus, but I hope it works for you as well. Good luck!Make up...cosmetics.... skin problems.?
I use Clinique Superbalanced. Just go to Clinique.com to find a makeup that fits you. Dont buy it from online though. You should go to a store and try it on first to make sure it matches. Just ask one of the ladies there to help you. Good Luck.
I suggest MAC foundation. If you go to the counter, most likely, the makeup artists there will be able to help you choose the best stuff possible.
I'd say if you're not worried about making your skin angrier - try a cream foundation. They cover like crazy.
If you live near a Sephora store - and don't mind visiting them, try the place out. They have about anything, and you can play all afternoon to find a color/consistency that suits. The ladies there even help, if you want!
I use bareminerals, personally. . .but that's not as thorough coverage-wise. There's an awesome concealer that Vincent Longo makes. . .but that's not for all-face. Hmm.
Make Up For Ever pan-stick?
Clinique City base?
Cover FX? They have a wide palette of colors. . .
Kms mineral essentials is great at covering blemishes/scars, etc., especiallyh when teamed with the concealer. It is a pure mineral cosmetic, so there is nothing in it that would cause additional breakouts for you. It is very light and natural looking for a makeup that covers so well.
