I posted a question yesterday about how I purchased a Clinique powder, it crushed in my bag, and basically turned into a loose powder, the rest went all over my bag......I called the store and told them what happened and they said they could exchange it or I could get a refund, I had a feeling they would be rude about it. The powder was in just horrid shape.....I woke up this morning and thought that I would just get my money back instead and look for a new product. So I took the powder back, the girl looked at the receipt when all of a sudden this other girl came over and said that the cosmetics counter manager said that I could only exchange it, I told them that I talked to the store manager the day earlier and was told it would not be a problem and that I want my money back, after that the service was just so rude, they glared at me and when I said thank you they didn't even answer me....they looked at me like I was scamming them or something, since the powder looked ';used'; to them. Why are cosmetics people rude?
they are very unprofessional.
they should have just refunded your money no questions asked..and been pleasant about it.
don't speak to the cosmetics counter manager..
go to the manager for the entire store.
tell that person your story. Why are cosmetics people rude?
Some of them are very unproffesional and rude, but not all. I have met very personable, helpful people in the MAC store many times, but for some reason at counters the women working there always seem to be more rude. I dont know why.
Def call the manager and complain, if those girls were being rude to a costumer, they should be punshied because they are giving the products/brand a bad rep.
Some of those women are so rude, I agree. I think she wasn't nice to you cause it was taking up her time and she didn't want to be bothered, she might have missed a other customer. I would send a letter, email and call to complain, ';this service was unacceptable';, tell them. Next time, get the store manager name and when she/he works.
you know what?
i had a problem with the clinique people too.
they were very rude to me and treated me like scum, and there face wash broke me out like crazy!
they were so rude that i just stay clear from there counter at the store now and wont purchase anything from them anymore!
def call the manager and make some complaints~!!!!!
I work at a salon and cosmetics store. I am a hairstylist and makeup artist. I don't think I am rude, but the girls at the register ARE something else sometimes!! Sorry that u had a bad experience. I say Call and complain to the Manager AND if she doesn't satify u, call corporate...What store was it?
Call the company and complain or you can call humain rights or something like that. I this its because they think very high of them selves, they think they're all that.
I *always* get treated rudely when I shop at cosmetic counters in department stores. They either act like they don't want to help me, or talk to me in a condescending way. I love makeup and fashion, but I'm more into creating my own styles instead of wearing ';labels';, so I suspect that might be why I never get good service. I would def. call the store manager and complain, that type of behavior from a sales person is not acceptable, and personally I wouldn't shop there again. I mean, why should you give them your money when they have such a bad attitude? Now I shop at Sephora, the people there are usually friendly and helpful.
Sorry you went through that. You know, regular employees are often just too careful and they lean on the side of caution in case they are not too familiar with their policies. You just have to basically wait until a manager is around. I would say ask the manager when they will be there or tell the manager that the employee did not honor this BEFORE you even go there...just a little white lie...then the manager will review policies with all employees so that manager won't look like a shmuck when you DO go...after all, managers do not want inconsistencies repeated, then they could get in trouble themselves.
Just never count on good customer service. I never do, then I never am disappointed. To me, If it gets to be my turn in line at a donut shop, and the employee decides to go through the simple trouble of saying ';hi'; than that is beyond their duty I expect (I am used to them thinking they don't even have to open their mouths when they take your order, and they don't!)
I don't understand shopping mall employees, just get your refund and think to yourself, ';you dress up to the nines to work- in a mall!'; and you will feel okay after that. It works for me

Mary Kay Cosmetics - is it worth losing your friends and family over???????
A member of my family sells Mary Kay. She's constantly calling on friends, neighbors, etc... to sell the product and annoys a lot of them in the process. She's even had people tell her to ';LAY OFF'; or else they will never speak to her again. She's even gone to friends' homes to visit, then walks down the street in her friend's neighborhood to meet their neighbors to sell Mary Kay (not carrying product with her). She can't go anywhere without talking about Mary Kay. She had a birthday party for a friend just to advertise her Mary Kay business and wore her Mary Kay pin to a very formal dinner. She practically worships her upline rep and makes her more important than her own family. It breaks my heart to sit here and watch this.
Is Mary Kay worth losing your friends and family over???? Do you know of any stories????Mary Kay Cosmetics - is it worth losing your friends and family over???????
That's a sad statement. I don't know of any stories personally, but it sounds like she's a very lonely, insecure person and she's made this job an extension of who she feels she is as a person. That means she's probably unable to mentally separate the two.
Unfortunately most friends and family members have probably been too nice in an effort to keep the peace, and thus have enabled this behavior.
If she even has the ability to stop at this point, it will probably take major action on the part of her close friends and family.
Such as:
1. stop inviting her to functions. If she finds out about it and asks why, be very direct.
2. if you can't do number 1, be very clear when inviting her, that this is a non-work function, and he sales pitches and samples are not welcome.
3. if she violates the agreement in #2, ask her to leave the function.
Only by taking a very hard line, which does risk losing her, at least temporarily, to you have a chance to really show her how annoying she's become.Mary Kay Cosmetics - is it worth losing your friends and family over???????
well if you really like this family member then do whats best.. ask her to lay off it.. it annoys you and other people. then ask her why she likes it so much and challenge to go a day with say mary kay. tell her how you really feel it helps.. in fact i got saved by telling the truth to a friend
No, it definitely is not worth it. And thankfully, no, I don't know of any stories.
Tell her there are more important things in life than pimping out Mary-Kay.
I have to agree with you. A little goes a long way!
I left a church over a minister that had to give a invitation at each type of service he was holding and it had to be about 1/3 of the time on the clock.
I got up and walked out after 15 verses of the same song and still no one of the 32 people in attendance felt the need to walk forward. I walked out and haven't been back. A teacher not a preacher is what I want.
If your friend like the product and sells it that great she is working and has a income, but not ever where you go and not all of the time.
I don't know too many people that participate in selling Mary Kay, but I think the way the woman that you described is obsessed is kind of unhealthy and she is losing lots of friends over this.
I know that you can get a car, a pink Cadillac, if you sell enough Mary Kay, maybe she is trying to work up to that or something?
Anyway, someone you know, or you even, should try to confront her and tell her how stupid this whole thing is, and if she wants to be accepted into social circles again she should ditch the Mary Kay. She can still sell it if she promises not to be so incredibly extreme about it.
Unfortunately, there are many people in the world that don't know when enough if enough, doesn't matter what it's regarding. In this case, it happens to be Mary Kay and it sets a bad image for the rest of the MK consultants out there who are kind and respectful to others wishes.
Shunning this person out of your life isn't the way to go. Simply telling her that family and family friends is not the place for it. Advise her that she should try and separate family/family friends from her business. It has been proven that family/family friends don't turn out to be a good customer database. Therefore, she should spread her wings to find other customers that the family doesn't know and build off that. The family will respect her more when she learns this.
She is just doing what she is told to do.
She will make some mistakes and probably run a few people off but nothing lasts forever.
Mary Kay Cosmetics is a cult.
They pump you up at those meetings and tell you it's the most important thing in the world.
She won't stop until she realizes she is losing her friends and family members hide when they see her coming.
Sorry I don't have better news.
Well it is definitely not worth losing friends and family!! Sounds like your relative is being overly-pushy. And while I think Mary Kay has good products, a non-stop salesperson will turn anyone off and make them run!! The problem is that they have to make their $$ on getting existing customers to buy more products, and they also have to constantly be on the lookout for new customers. I've known a couple MK salespeople and a few of them were extremely ';talkative'; about their products....it was just too much! On the other hand, there are some normal salespeople too, who don't have to use every opportunity...like a birthday party...to sell, sell, sell!!! I';ve had MK reps start conversations with me....only to find out they were trying to sell me something.
Someone..hopefully you...can just be honest with her and tell her it's just becoming annoying and is putting people off. If she can tone it down, and unless someone asks what she does for a living, she shouldn't bring it up.
I will say this. I use to be a MK consultant. It is almost like a cult with this business. Women mostly who are moms or the likes. You have a quota to sell and if you don't make the $ you don't get discount or the money. It's a hard sale. Most MK products are over priced and just a microdermabrasion kit runs $50. You can buy something very comprable them at Rite Aid for $20.00.
My MK leader was a friend of mine. She called me all the time to try to motivate me to sell, sell, sell. Honestly? I worked it and it was not worth the time, effort or having people telling me no. I am a RN by trade and make enough money that MK couldn't compare to it... and frankly I hate pink cars.. cadillacs are ugly and MK colors are not meant for the younger person.
MK is a cult... period. Most people can't afford their items and the insanity of wearing pin is insane.. People do not want to be invitied to a facial party where you are hit up to buy expensive over price crapola.
I went to a MK party once and I could not believe how the Rep could not take no for an answer, I finally told her enough was enough and got my coat and left.
Unfortunately in the business world, you move up by stepping on other people's toes.mr skin

UK- MAC Cosmetics why are the sales assistants so rude - went into the store in whitefield west london?
I needed help finding the right colour shade as some testers were missing. I tried to get 2 assistants to help all I go was am busy sweetie or I will try later love.....then i line up for the counter and I ask the assistant to help me and she says dont you know what I want. So finally she agrees to help and she tests a powder on my hand then I bought it then when I got home I realise she had put the wrong shade in the bag. I only realised it was the wrong shade when I put some powder on my face. Can I go back to the store and get a refund or exchange??UK- MAC Cosmetics why are the sales assistants so rude - went into the store in whitefield west london?
Take it back immediately. Explain that the assistant has made a mistake and put the wrong shade in. After that visit the MAC website and go wild writing a really stroppy email about the poor service you received. I did and they were hugely apologetic and gave me a free discount and money back on what I'd bought. Good luck!UK- MAC Cosmetics why are the sales assistants so rude - went into the store in whitefield west london?
must be down south, i was at the MAC counter in the Metro centre, Gateshead yesterday and the girl was wonderful, even though it was busy, she apologised for my weight and sorted out what shade foundation i needed,
not sure if you can take it back since it's open
I think most shop assistants everywhere in the uk are like that, i only realised how bad it was since i went to germany, all the shop assistants i encountered there spoke english even though its not their first language, they all smiled, helped out and looked happy
I would certainly take it back. I'm not sure of the legal position having opened the product, but morally you could argue that they should change the product.

Just go to the store and tell them that you lost the card. They will deactivate it so nobody else can use it. They probably wont replace it, though, but you can try.

it is not MARY KAY, it is her %26amp; her annoying manners, just stop communicating to this person.
no its not thats ridicoulous
One my neighbors was like that. We told her we only buy from Avon. So she switched jobs and became the Avon lady. Then we told her we only buy from Mary Kay.
This is a type of brain washing. I have a cousin who is in a pyramid scheme..much shadier than Mary Kay. He has pissed off his entire family, including his own siblings.
Somehow he thinks if we just listen to the schpeel, we will all become converts and throw our money over. Yeah, right.
I think he has lost money, but he is too ashamed to tell anyone. He even got thrown in jail one night over misunderstanding trying to get some of his marketing materials back.
If I see his name come up on caller id, i make my husband answer it.
Yes, it is bad. I hope she calms down soon. If not, just stay away.
It's not ';Mary Kay'; she is obsessing over, it's her ';job'; that she's obsessing over. She is the equivalent of a workaholic. A Workaholic's job takes over and yes, almost becomes more important than family and friends. Usually the only way they are brought back to reality is when they actually realize that they HAVE lost everybody. Most of them wait until it's too late.
Sounds like everyone has tried to do what they can. Unfortunantly, the only thing left is to let her make her own mistakes.
Why is this any of your business? Ignore her and don't buy the product if you don't like it.
My fiance worked for a company selling their product and it was strictly commission, so we only had a hundred dollars coming in a week while the overheads for fuel and accomodation and such put us in a lot of debt.
Maybe she is being so over the top because she is trying to make enough money to live? Commission only made us desperate; I even sold some of my personal effects on Ebay for money to live off and we were almost evicted from our unit.
Ask her why she's so forceful with her selling. Try and find out from her if its just her being obsessive about her job at the expense of family and friends, or if she's in trouble finacially, as she will probably have had to buy the products first before she can sell them on... (Like with Avon and Nutrimetics here in Australia).
She might be desperate, or she might be just rude and inconsiderate, but you should give her the benifit of the doubt until you can get more of the story.
Good luck, I hope it all works out.
No

Urban decay cosmetics.....?
I am wondering about some of their cosmetics...
1) im wondering if i should get their De-Slick mattifying Powder...its kinda expensive is it worth buying? People with experience please answer....
2) how is their heavy metal eyeliner? I want to get midnight cowboy, but im not sure about the glitter. I dont have double eyelids so you cant see any eyeliner i but on the top part of my eye unless i close them. Would it look weird if you could only see the bottom part with the glittery eyeliner?
3) All of their makeup is rather expensive....would you know any place where i can get them at a discount?Urban decay cosmetics.....?
It is not worth buying. Their Heavy Metal eyeliner is almost a five out of five star product. It would not look weird if I could only see the bottom part of the glittery eyeliner. There is no other place where you can get them at a discount besides the stores where you buy the makeup; you have to sign up for a club (I forgot the name) and you get a discount.Urban decay cosmetics.....?
i haven't personally tried urban decay's foundation and concealers but i've heard they they don't really work that well. your better off with smash box or mac (loreal, revlon and cover girl aren't bad for cheaper brands). i tried there liquid heavy metal eyeliners and i LOVED it. it had a really thin brush so it was really easy to apply and i was able to make it go into a perfect line. (when your done applying it, close your eyes and let it dry for a minute though because otherwise it will end up all over your eyes and will look more like cream eyeshadow) i've also tried there 24/7 eyeliners and they work well too (plus there waterproof so there perfect for summer when you want to go swimming). and no it wont look weird on you. i have deep set eyes too and i still wear eyeliner. i don't know were you can get a discount (unless you work for ulta or whatever store you buy them from) but i can use there stuff and make it last for a few months because you don't need to over apply it.
i haven't tried much of their stuff, but i do know that urban decay priming potion is like the BEST there is. makes shadow stay on forever and makes the colors POP. try www.allcosmeticswholesale.com
they carry MAC, stila, urban decay,Nars, benifit, laura meicer, and a lot more. they are authentic. you can look up youtube reviews of them (try searching ACW hauls.)
the site is www.allcosmeticswholesale.com
they carry overstocks or products with slightly damaged packages. they don't carry every product from that company, but a good amount
1. I haven't used their mattifying powder, and you would probably want to go try it yourself.
2. ABSOLUTELY love them. I have used many glitter liners and UD's are the best as far as value and quality of product go. Midnight Cowboy is a gorgeous shade, I have that, Spandex, and Metalhead. I don't think it would look weird at all if you did lower liner only, in fact I have done a basic shadow and then for a lower liner I have used Lust 24/7 liner and then Metalhead on top of it.
3. Trust me, it's worth the money. Many people use eBay and Makeup Alley to get their items but if you have an ULTA near you, sign up for their beauty club, and occasionally you will get a coupon for 20% off your entire purchase, including prestige cosmetics.

they carry MAC, stila, urban decay,Nars, benifit, laura meicer, and a lot more. they are authentic. you can look up youtube reviews of them (try searching ACW hauls.)
the site is www.allcosmeticswholesale.com
they carry overstocks or products with slightly damaged packages. they don't carry every product from that company, but a good amount
Any companies out there to help you with the creation of a cosmetic product?
Yes, it is called private label. I work with a company called Colorlab, my rep is Amy. There are many companies for creation of makeup and skincare items. Another big private label company is Your Name Cosmetics.
Mens Cosmetics 2: What Tone Matches My Skin?

I am looking into this Cosmetics from MAC and I was having a very difficult time deciding my skin tone from all of these choices! Can someone perhaps tell me what would be the best tone choice for me? Here is a picture of myself.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Dra鈥?/a>Mens Cosmetics 2: What Tone Matches My Skin?
C35 or C40 would probably come the closest, since they have the same peachy/yellowish undertones in your skin.
The problem with a picture is that the lighting can make your skin look lighter in some areas and darker in others.Mens Cosmetics 2: What Tone Matches My Skin?
In my opinion you should either go to a mac counter or store so a professional can really match your color.
in order to find the right color you need to get someone to match it for you in the store! they are more than willing to help or you can do it yourself by putting some on the top of your hand to see what shade you need
good luck!

What cosmetics can you recommend that stays all day without drying out skin or making it oily?
The color stay lipsticks that I have tried have all been dry and chalky.
The foundation that matches my complexion dries me out or make my skin oily.
Eyeliner- well it smudges
Macara- it cakes up
powder eyeshadow- it is gone in an hour
creme eyeshadow- cakes on the lids
Many cosmetics I have tried are expensive. Some inexpensive.
I am a woman of color and I need a line that will accomodate that. I am a black woman with a light complexion. Any suggestion will be helpful. What cosmetics can you recommend that stays all day without drying out skin or making it oily?
Makeup Forevers Liquid foundation, and Powder is AMAZING..no joke.
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
But Bare Minderals is also amazing, i just cant use it cause their colors dont match my face.
http://www.qvc.com/qsearch/search.aspx
but if your using that. You should get the Bisqe (conealer)
The well rested (helps make your eyes less puffy/dark looking)
And the mineral veil (it makes your face even MORE flawless looking)
+ the kubuki brush for the foundation (it gives the best coverage)
For lipstick, try cliniques lipsticks called buttershine they are REALLY moisterizing and they dont dry out, Nars is the same way.

mascara try diors blackout, let me just tell you.. AMAZING.
And so is Too faced lash injection.

creame eyeshadow...no no it always does that!
To make your powder eyeshadow last longer try this...

im addicted to that stuff.
And honestly all of sephorahs eyeshadows are awesome, browse the site... they have just about EVERY color you could ever imagine. What cosmetics can you recommend that stays all day without drying out skin or making it oily?
I just recently started using MAC Studio Fix foundation. It is about $25 a bottle, but I find I don't go through it as fast. A little goes a long way where as when I was using drug store brands I had to use alot more to get the coverage I want and need to blend and cover all my imperfections. Plus it seems to control oil much better when I use it with the blot powder. I only have to touch up 2-3 times instead of 5-6. Good luck!
As a professional makeup artist for 20 years and I am Hispanic so I understand ethnic skins the only brand you can count on for performance is bee luscious cosmetics.
You have to try the newest rave, Bee Luscious Cosmetics.
Their mascara never clumps or flakes, their liquid powder mineral foundation will; deliver a radiant moist and flawless look every time and their lipsticks and glosses are to die for. Truly amazing products.
I have been using kms mineral essentials for over a year now and I can鈥檛 say enough good things about them! I used to use Bare Minerals but it got too expensive. I was
hoping to find another brand that gave me the same results without costing so much and I found it in kms.
I found out that all mineral makeup is not alike. A lot of them have fillers and other ingredients considered to be irritating to the skin. This brand mineral makeup is all natural, has a built-in sunscreen, and is very long wearing. Even on a hot day I don鈥檛 have to touch up my makeup! Their customer service is great and I always get my products quickly. They also have an optional makeup club you can join so you never have to worry about running out! You should check them out at www.kmsmineralessentials.com.

Mac cosmetics style warrior collection?
When I first read about the collection I wasn't interested all all nothing really caught my eye. For once I'm splurging on myself, not for my makeup kit (I do freelance makeup work) I mix nc15 and nw20 to get my perfect foundation shade (my mom has yellow undertones, and my dad pink and I get them both nw, and nc look orange on me, but together it's cool all foundations do this so I always mix foundations) skintone of that helps any of you makeup junkies.
But now that Ive seen pictures and swatches online I want pretty much everything. I only have 120-130$ this week (because it's my sisters birthday weekend and I need money to go out) so what is a must have in the collection
I know for sure I want two of the lipsticks so so far 16.50x2 (I'm from canada)
1) Brave new Bronze (I have a problem I buy EVERY nude lipstick I see)
2) purple rite I've seen the swatches and I really like this one!
I might get sunsational instead of purple rite, but as of now I don't really like it, maybe when I try it on I'll like it better.
I don't really like any of the glosses only one that I like is: Fierce %26amp; Fabulous, but because of the colour I have the purple lipgloss from HK, the purple dazzleglass funtabulous, I rarely wear this I just like the name. My other problem is I buy stuff because I like the name. ;P
Lustre drops: I kind of pushed it away when I first heard about it... but I'm kind of, really interested in all of them especially sunrush as a highlight. What do you think about these, no clue what they're for though!
beauty powder blushes: aka my favourite ones. I want both, really bad but I can only get one which one do you think I should get? That is nice on light skin tones. If it was me I'd choose the pink ones because I love pink blushes, but maybe I should do a change and get the other one?
Bronzer pressed:
If I do get one I know it will be refined golden, and I know I'm getting this one because I always buy bronzers because they always make me orange even though I do all the right steps to get a perfect glow. If I don't like it it's going in my makeup kit.
Solarbits: I want all 3 of them, I might get them in 2-3 weeks when I have some more money.
nailpolish:only one I like is Mercenary but i dont know if i'm going to get it, because I usually get my nails done every 2 weeks or so with the same color. Teal the cows come home by OPI
the eyeshadows I want two: vibrant grape and bright future, but I will only get them if I can get it in pan form, vibrant grape I know is a pro color so I can always drive 15 minutes to the pro store to get it, and bright future I probably wouldn't get that day I would decide if I really wanted it.Mac cosmetics style warrior collection?
Okay, so most of the things coming out in the style warrior collection are AMAZING.
I would serious reconsider Brave New Bronze though. I got that one already because I work for the company, and have to say that I really dislike it. It is too dry and has a lot of brown to it.
Must Haves:
-Solar bits: picture our glitter mixed with our pigment and you have these...they have amazing wearability and look super great.
-Lustre Drops: they are basically touch tint for the face. Kinda like a highlighter....I put it on the tops of my cheekbones and just a little on the bridge of my nose for a very dewy, bronzy look.
-Mercenery looks amazing too, the color is super bright.
-Vibrant Grape and Bright Future are awesome, i would pair them with Night Manuevers (the brown color)
-There are no special glosses, I would skip those.
-The only new bronzer is Solar Riche and it isn't that great, very red.
-the lipsticks are not great either.

MAC Cosmetics Questions?
I am a 15 year old girl that is starting to get tired of drugstore brand makeup and leaning towards more higher end makeup. So for all of you that know anything about MAC Cosmetics, I have a few questions for you!
1. Is MAC worth buying for a 15 year old girl?
2. What eye shadows would you recommend for a beginner? (I have tan skin with brown eyes and hair, and if you could tell me a lid, crease, and highlight color(s) that would be nice.)
3. Is Mineral Skin-finish Natural really better than drugstore pressed powders?
4. Are the Studio Sculpt Concealer and Rubenesque Paint Pot good investments?
I don't have alot of money, I do have a budget. I'm trying not to go over like $80 on MAC. Lastly, I do not wear liquid foundation, only powder sometimes.
Any other tips or things you know about MAC Cosmetics that might be useful to me would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks so much!MAC Cosmetics Questions?
To answer all of your questions:
1. DEFINITELY! I starting buying MAC when I was 12. It is so much better than anything else I've tried.
2. Lid : Honesty or Woodwinked, Crease: Sable or Bronze, Highlight: Brule or Phloof!
3. Definately. The Minerals in it give it a natural glow/
4. I don't like either. I find the concealer too dry. And for paint pots, I like Bare Canvas or Painterly a lot better. Rubenesque is matte, which i find kind of pointless for a cream shadow.MAC Cosmetics Questions?
Naked lunch on lid, Satin taupe in crease, and vanilla pigment as brow highlight.

MAC Cosmetics Questions?
MAC Cosmetics Questions?
I am a 15 year old girl that is starting to get tired of drugstore brand makeup and leaning towards more higher end makeup. So for all of you that know anything about MAC Cosmetics, I have a few questions for you!
1. Is MAC worth buying for a 15 year old girl?
2. What eye shadows would you recommend for me? (I have tan skin with brown eyes and hair, and if you could tell me a lid, crease, and highlight color(s) that would be nice.)
3. What is a good MAC starter kit?
I don't have alot of money, I do have a budget. I'm trying not to go over like $80 on MAC. Lastly, I do not wear liquid foundation, only powder sometimes.
Any other tips or things you know about MAC Cosmetics that might be useful to me would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks so much!MAC Cosmetics Questions?
1. Yes! MAC is great if you have the money. I dont think there is an age to buy MAC products. Just know that they are pricy!
2. I would go to www.maccosmetics.com and live chat with the artists. They will help you get the perfect stuff for you!
3. a good concealer, liner, and lipglass (they are great!!)MAC Cosmetics Questions?
you should really check out NYX cosmetis at ulta. They have been said to be as good as mac, but a hella lot cheaper.
DEFINETLY WORTH IT:)
I only use certain brands, and that is one of them.
1. Up to you. Don't waste your money if you're not going to wear it. And keep in mind that some drugstore products dupe, are similar to, or work even better than MAC.
2. Deep Truth, All That Glitters, Bamboo, Deep Shade, Contrast
Navy blue will make brown eyes pop
3. Mineralize Skin Finish Natural
Eye shadow
Technakohl Graph Black
Lip conditioner
Sinnamon Lustreglass
Matte
Tips: Check in the mirrors. One girl at MAC matched me with
a dark foundation that made me look orange! I returned it and the next
girl matched my skin perfectly. If you have a hard to match skin tone like me, make sure you try a few shades out and have a say yourself. Also, speak up - you'll get what you want.
1. Yes. It's good makeup with the best colors, and is more of the lower end department store brand makeup so it's not too expensive.
2. Lid: vibrant purple (it will really make your eyes stand out)
Crease: a darker gray
3.http://www.youtube.com/results?search_qu鈥?/a> watch the 1st and second video; (the ones by allthatglitters21 and juicystar07)
Then I would really reccomend getting the MAC pigment because it's multi use. You can use it as an eyeliner or eyeshadow. I love it. I would also buy the blush because they have really good colors and a good variety.
*dont bother with the lipgloss... the ones i've tried aren't great.
i absolutely love mac makeup :)
i recomend all that glitters, woodwinked and rice paper for eye shadows. and definetly try their mineralize skin finish powder!
Yeah Mac is great i love the lipgloss and lip stick and powder and blush and eye shadow ok lets face it i love everything!
yes it is worth buying because once you buy 5 or 6 thing you can bring them to the store and get a free one.
I would say maybe a beige or gold or a light pink no hot pinks because in my opinion that may look trashy. For the eye shadow you can get patina and it is like liquid but stays on all day it is great no smudges. Blush is pinch me pink is the best i think and there is a lipgloss flavor called pink lemonade also another good one is the ones on special and chose the colour you like best!
Mac started kits: well they don't have that , but that people are so helpful if you pick something up that you aren't sure would look good they put it on for you and show you how it works! I am your age and love i there they are so nice. Remember if there is a colour you like get two of them because if they are on special they won't come back! It is so cool because once a year they have a special featured cartoon last year hello kitty the year before was barbie so cool
MAC IS GREAT '
this year they had a jungle show it was so cool
i know mac make up takes a long time to use up, if your eyes are brown i would say purple, copper, bronze ,champagne or blue colors. i think if you save 6 of their empty make up containers you can get a free lip gloss
You are on the same page as me... I am 17 and I am also tired of drugstore makeup except for a couple of products that I really like... I am not a MAC expert or anything but on youtube there is a ';makeup world'; as they call it where I learned everything that I know now that i didn't know a couple of months ago. I would check out some of the girls' videos on youtube. Just type their usernames into the search bar or MAC starter kit in the search bar. Some of the makeup gurus I would recommend are: allthatglitters21 (Elle), juicystar07 (Blair), julieg713 (Julie), and fafinettex3 (Aubrey). The great thing about this, you can ask them any questions you have through email video response or comments below their videos. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you anny recommendations on eyeshadow colors. All I can tell you is to get a eye shadow primer so your shadows don't crease or wear off throughout the day or get a base sush as a paint pot. I heard that either soft ochre or rubenesque are must haves. For youe age, I would just go natural with brown tones. Hope this helped you!

Okay, sorry for that tangent :P
1.) Yes, MAC is worth buying at any age simply because it is excellent quality makeup.
2.) For eyeshadows, I would recommend satin taupe (shimmery beautiful taupe) for the lid, Mulch (dark shimmery brown) for the crease and then vanilla (just a creamy white matte color) for the highlight on the brow bone and inner corner. Those are 14.50 each, so you would be looking at $45 dollars for just those 3.
3.) A good starter kit would be:
Foundation: you say you use powder, so why not get good coverage too? I recommend MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (its like a compact mineral foundtaion, but its not a loose powder...its amazing!)
Eyeshadows: The ones I previously mentioned plus:
Twinks: beautiful plummy brown with shimmer
Shroom: Another creamy beige highlight
Carbon: A nice matte black
Embark: Pretty red matte brown
Lipgloss:
Lustreglass in Love Nectar (pretty apricot pink with soft gold shimmer)
Eye Liner and Mascara:
Honestly you will see on youtube those are both pretty dupe-able at a drugstore. MAC is not well known for good mascara, so I recommend CoverGirl Lashblast and I love Stila's Convertible Eye Color Liner in Onyx! :)
Also, if money is an option...I'm sure by watching youtube you have learned or will learn about Coastal Scents. They have great eyeshadow and blush palettes that would be great for starting a kit and are very pigmented. Gurus have said the colors are good MAC dupes and the shadows and blushes are equal in quality to MAC, so check that out if you can! :)

I think you should invest in MAC. I work a Seventeen Magazine and we just did an issue on 10 girls on youtube. They have some amazing advice and tips for you. http://www.seventeen.com/beautysmarties

Mac cosmetics eyeshadow help?
Which is a better buy, buying the mac eyeshadows in the seperate pots, or buying them in pans and creating a pallet? I'd buy an empty pallet anyways so it's easier when I travel. I also know that you could exchange 6 empty containers for a free lipstick/gloss/shadow.
Also, what shadows do you think would be best for a teen just starting to use mac?(give me as much ideas as you can cause I want to start collecting.)Mac cosmetics eyeshadow help?
it is easier to have them in palettes because it takes up less space in your eyeshadow drawer.
Colors: Vanilla, Crystal Avalanche, Pink Venus, Swish, Carbon, Electra or Silver Ring, Woodwinked, Mulch...
Even though you didnt ask, I am going to tell you some blush, lipstick, lipglass, etc.
Blush: Hello Kitty Tippy(Limited Edition), Pink Swoon, Peaches, Hello Kitty Fun %26amp; Games (Limited Edition), Blunt (contour color, LOL! not for cheeks! unless you are a woman of color, of course!)
Lipstick: Angel, Blankety, A Rose Romance, Lollipop Loving
Lipglass: Underage, Russian Red (i know, its red... only if you can wear red!)
Lipgelee: Moonstone, Saplicious
Brushes: 187 (liquid foundation!) 239 (lid) 217 (highlighter) 168 (contour/blush) 224 (blending/crease) 222 (crease) 219 (pencil, for putting color underneath your eye)
Cream Color Base: it depends on your skintone
Paintpot: Rubenesque (if you like gold-ish colors)Mac cosmetics eyeshadow help?
Which is ';better';? It really depends on what you want and like!! The good thing about the palettes is: (1) You have all your colours together in one place and (2) You save money because you buy the eyeshadows in pan form, which are cheaper than the ones in pots. For me the downside is that I can never bring myself to take my 15-pan palettes travelling anywhere, as they're too precious - instead I take a 4-pan palette to minimise potential for breakage.
As for what shadows to start out on, do an internet or YouTube search - this question has been asked about 1000 times already by other people.
If you travel, I suggest creating your own palette and buying the palette refills. That way you wont have to go through the trouble of depotting the eye shadows to put in your palette. As for colors, I say go with what your favorite colors are.
Well truth is MAC makeup is great but if it falls best believe it turn to ash. I buy the loose powder in the little bottle. Its great and doesnt just break easy. Colors? Whatever you like !!!! I love them all I have about 34 of them cant pick just one!! =]
i would go with the pallet because a refill is like $11 and a shadow is $14.mr skin

MAC Cosmetics Question? About refill pans and the palettes.?
this may sound like a petty thing to care about, but if you know what you are talking about answer! my question is that I have the eyeshadow MAC palette that has 15 in it, i already filled one 15 up and I cant find anymore shades from MAC that I really want or would use. So I was wondering if any other brands ( it would help if they were cheaper than the MAC ones) fit into the MAC palettes? I really have no idea. If you do find some that fit into them, I would love a link to the website or the store you found them in. Thank you so much! I really appreciate all your answers! They all help in one way or another!MAC Cosmetics Question? About refill pans and the palettes.?

I highly recommend airbrushing make up for any professional who wants to look their best. Dinair airbrushing kit is my personal favorite offering a quality foundation and airbrushing compressor that is easy to use. Diniar airbrushing kit can be found online at www.palazah.com. This is the cheapest site by far.
i'm sure you've heard of coastal scents (or the popular 88 pallette) well they have the ';refills'; i guess you could call them and they fit into the mac palettes...they also have colors that are almost the same shade as some mac shadows..also about half the price (i think its around 5 dollars??)...hope this helps.

MAC Cosmetics.......?
I've never bought my make up any where other than walmart, i've never really gone for the high priced stuff. Well I have a few acne scars on my face and it just seems cover girl doesnt work to well when it comes to trying to cover them up. A friend recentaly told me about MAC products and how they provide sheer coverage. Well I've gone to the MAC website and there are so many foundations, I dont know which is the best on for me. I would prefer a powder foundation. Is anyone out there fimiliar with MAC produtcs and if so can you tell me which give the best coverage for minor acne scars.MAC Cosmetics.......?
Hi, when I was in my teens I used to buy cheaper brands, but I now wear a lot fo MAC, Benefit, Stila, Urban Decay, etc %26amp; you can honestly tell the difference with a lot of them.
For foundations, I wear MAC Studio Fix Liquid which has medium coverage that you can build to heavier %26amp; covers skin imperfections well. You can apply it with your fingertips, but for the best coverage a foundation brush is best. There's no need to go %26amp; buy the MAC foundation brush though, as that's very expensive.
There are a lot of foundations on the website %26amp; it is hard to know whats best. If you live near a counter/store then you should ask an assistant what would be best for you. They might also recommend a good concealer which will help cover the scars also.
Have you tried emailing an artist on the website? You can do that on teh website %26amp; you'll be asked for yoru skin type so you can tell them about your acne scars %26amp; that you want a good coverage. I often email %26amp; they reply within a few hours %26amp; are always very helpful.
Good luck.MAC Cosmetics.......?
well first of all u need conceler to cover up spots and foundation on top of that as long as u use a good conceler u will be fin and as far as what to pick i say it's best to go in to the mac store in ur area b/c they can find the right shades for ur skin
I love MAC,since I ';discovered'; it in the past year. In terms of a powder foundation that is natural-looking but also cover minor scars I'd recommend Studio Fix powder- it smoothes and evens, gives good coverage, and helps control shine.
Do you have a local dept. store that has cosmetics counters? You might want to see if they have a MAC counter so you can go and experiment with shades and stuff. :)
Good luck!
I use a couple different brands of mineral makeup to cover facial scarring and rosacea. I started with the expensive stuff, and it took me a while to try some of the less expensive stuff. Boy, I wish I would have done that first! It would have saved me a ton of money. I like the Loreal mineral sheer make up, followed with the mineral veil. It looks pretty natural and is a lot less expensive than the Bare Escentuals I was ordering from Sephora. They have a whole line of concealer, blush, eye shadow, etc.
The key to application is to tap the brush into a small bit of the powder, kind of like loading a brush if you're a painter. Then, tap off the excess powder on the edge of the container. Buff the powder into your skin in a circular motion repeating and layering until it leaves no lines and your skin looks airbrushed. Follow up with a light coat of the mineral veil. It works for me every time, and I don't have to reapply it during the day.
Depending on coverage that you want, you can use:
Studio Mist foundation
Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15
Select SPF 15
Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
All these give a medium coverage. but for a fuller coverage check out:
Full coverage
Studio Stick SPF 15
Select Moistureblend SPF 15
But for powders, MAC has some foundations that turn from cream to powder but are still full coverage. check out:
Studio Fix
Studio Tech
now, all of MAC's foundations come in a variety of finishes, you just pick one. the best thing to do as well is ask one of the people in the store.

well first of all u need conceler to cover up spots and foundation on top of that as long as u use a good conceler u will be fin and as far as what to pick i say it's best to go in to the mac store in ur area b/c they can find the right shades for ur skin
Thanks so much!

1. yeah. :] i started to buy it when i was 15
2. get a eyeshadow pot thing. they last FORVER! just get a nice colour.MAC Cosmetics Questions?
oh yeah u r good for the age i love mac makeup
Here's what I know. I am old - 61 to be exact - and I am always complemented on my skin. My secret is two fold: Stay out of the sun and use Estee Lauder every day. This skin has not braved the elements in over 40 years - it always has a moisturizer and almost always has a light foundation. I was about your age when I started.
Now - MAC is made by Estee Lauder so it is an excellent product. I am not familiar with the particular products you describe, so I cannot comment.
I have always favored powdered eyeshadows but I think that is just a personal preference thing, and color-wise, I would recommend browns and greens.

Advertising cosmetics: to what extent should extensions/computers be used to enhance a model's looks?
Most cosmetic ads on TV these days (esp. L'Oreal) use hair extensions on their models when advertising shampoo and conditioner, fake eyelashes when advertising mascara and/or enhancing both with computer graphics. There is usually an almost invisible notice flashed up in the bottom left hand corner for a few seconds telling us that's what they're doing, but who thinks they are misleading consumers?
We know that the models are very beautiful but if even they have to be enhanced, what hope is there of the product making the rest of us look any better? If Linda Evangelista needs computer trickery to make her eyelashes look better, or Claudia Schiffer needs hair extensions before being deemed fit to advertise shampoo I may as well seal myself up in a dark room so nobody need look upon my hideousness!
To what extent is it false advertising and should it be allowed?Advertising cosmetics: to what extent should extensions/computers be used to enhance a model's looks?
It does appear to be less than honest, but as long as the disclaimer is quickly flashed during the ad, it's likely to be considered legitimate. That's my personal opinion, but I realize how very frustrating this slight-of-hand trickery can be.
Shamefully, I admit to falling for similar ploys on TV shopping networks. While the products appear to be worthwhile when used as shown, somehow they just don't work the same for me after they arrive at my home. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I've finally learned the old adage is true: If it looks (or sounds) too good to be true, it probably is.
To answer your question, false advertising is just that and should not be permitted at all! Aren't there policies governing this dishonest practice, and where are the overseers who allow these things to happen on their watch?

Do Cosmetics Actually Test On Animals Anymore?
OK so I got all concerned and decided to stop buying said products for obvious reasons according peta's list HOWEVER when I emailed the parent companies of said cosmetic brands (rimmel, and covergirl) they said that they do not test on animals unless in some rare case the government makes them...So I'm wondering if this is just them softening up what they do or that pop cosmetics such as, actually no longer test, and peta's lying to us.....Would it bepossible that the parent brands of the cosmetics add in the ';rare occassion'; because they actually have things like household products under their name as well which the gov. may actually issue animal testing because the way I sees it the gov has no need to issue animal testing for cosmetics therefore these brands actually dont test
Please help me out here, thanks
I'm beginning to think peta's just lying about the cosmetics because the parent companies do test for diiff none cosmetic related products and if so I can continue to buy my mascara!Do Cosmetics Actually Test On Animals Anymore?
PETA's so lying to you. They're just big conspirators. Ignore it.Do Cosmetics Actually Test On Animals Anymore?
Yes, some companies do, but most do not, because it is no longer a practice that is usually condoned by the public. Thus, it is simply better business to not test on animals anymore.
PETA is a bit of questionable organization if you ask me, if you read up on their history, they certainly are.
Revlon and Rimmel, to my knowledge, don't test on animals, but I could of course be wrong. The only true way to know is if it's labelled to not have been tested on animals.
If you're worried about which makeup tests on animals than just buy makeup that says ';Not tested on animals';
That's the only way to be 100% sure
The red flag that you should be looking for is the ';made in China'; label. You see those companies are not lying by telling you exact words. They don't do the testing/torture. The Chinese manufacturers that make the makeup for them do. I saw a brutal video about 2 yrs ago on youtube whereby video showed a chow chow having it's leg slashed open and having some Chinese guy throw some cosmetic powder on the wound. It was to see if the dog gets infections. Second part was a rabbit that had it eye forced open and liquid cosmetic ingredients were being sprayed into the eye. I stopped watching video simply because it was too brutal. So you see all the animal torture (testing is just the politically correct term) is done in China, by the Chinese manufacturers.
In terms of what these companies deny, well look at this way; It took an act of the U.S. Congress for the tobacco companies to finally admit that smoking causes cancer. But before that despite overwhelming evidence they would simply deny it. So don't put too much significance in what those companies say. Sadly the cosmetic companies with the made in China products will need something to that extreme in order to have this torture stop. For that reason I only buy cosmetics that are either USA, or Canada made. Nothing from China.
PETA is pretty thorough. And to not lose your business a company PR person would more than likely omit some information from you. If PETA was lying do you think that companies like Johnson %26amp; Johnson would just sit around idly? No, they would sue! lol.
So the thing about PETA's list is that a lot of cosmetics companies DO test on animals. Some companies don't test all products, some test all, some test none and some test a percentage. Other companies on that list are on there because for instance, Burt's Bees doesnt test their products on animals but their parent company does. So when you buy a Burt's Bees product you are still supporting that parent company. :( It totally sucks!
You could try emailing the companies again asking why PETA lists them. They should be more straightforward then. Just remember, if they are losing business for no reason, they would go after PETA with legal action.
Please help me out here, thanks

Any other tips or things you know about MAC Cosmetics that might be useful to me would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks so much!MAC Cosmetics Questions?
Advice- MAC runs out quickly ( I have no acne except for the few blemishes on my nose), Studio fix ran out in a month. So make sure you can afford it.
1) Yes, I think so. But ask for them to give you a makeover and then you can find what looks good on you and then buy it.
2) Naked lunch, very pretty creamy color. Or any light brown
3)Honestly, its probably the same. Not sure though.MAC Cosmetics Questions?
If you can afford to buy MAC, I don't see any problem with it. MAC is a very good cosmetic company to try out especially with high-end cosmetics.
For the eyeshadows, you can try All That Glitters all over your lid with Satin Taupe as a crease color. As for a highlight, you can try Naked Lunch, which is a beautiful highlight color. These are all considered neutrals, which is perfect for a beginner because neutrals are easy to do.
I've heard that the Mineral Skinfinish Naturals are really good, but it just depends on the person. I broke out with MAC skincare products like their foundations, but I'm perfectly fine with their blot powder. Just try the Mineral Skinfinish Natural of your color for a week and if you don't like it, you can exchange/return with MAC.
I really don't know much about the Studio Sculpt Concealer. Again, it depends. Sometimes, it's a hit and there are other times it just doesn't work out for the person. Again, try it out and see if you like it. As for the Rubenesque Paint Pot, all paint pots are great investments. They help the eyeshadow from creasing and makes a great base!
ok , as far as MAC it depends. i am a make up junkie and i love MAC matte lipsticks and paint pots are good strong all over colors. You can use them anywhere. However, its fun to mix and match brands, i use anything from NYC cosmetics with Dior mascara (which i highly recommend) do some research, go to Sephora and Ulta , if they dont have any in your town, check out their sites. It will open up a whole new make up world to you!

MAC cosmetics question! ANSWER NOW PLEASE! More than 1 answer! Try to be +. MAC users/ experts plz!!?
I am debating switching to MAC cosmetics I just dont love what I have now. I wanna know does MAC enhance your features and make you look better more so than others?? I really want to try it. Try to be +
when you answer and I know it doesn't make you look different. NO makeup does... that i know of :) I actually have the same features as my avatar except Im more tan than that (Im hispanic) :P
I am going to try their bronzer, eyeliner, eyeshadow :)
btw is their lipglass any good? Right now i am using burts beeswax lip shimmer and it works well (radiance)MAC cosmetics question! ANSWER NOW PLEASE! More than 1 answer! Try to be +. MAC users/ experts plz!!?
I think that the best part of their makeup is the fact that when you go there, you can get trained pros to tell you what looks good and what doesn't. Not only that, but by having them tell you things like, ';Oh, that lipstick is too orangy. You may want to stay away from orange because it makes you look burnt'; (just an example) it can help you become a better shopper in the future!
Also, their products last. They really do. If you're wearing an eyeshadow, you can be sure that the colour in the packaging will be the colour on your eyes. It won't be lighter or dusty; simply true to hue.
I've tried their lipglass, and while I'm not a fan of lipgloss, I think it's pretty good. It can get a little goopy (not sticky, but kind of a lot), but I guess it's all about application.
Go check it out! It doesn't hurt to try, right?

their eyeshadows and eyeliners are amazing!! they work sooo well and have the most amazing colors! also, they are very very very long lasting! i would go to a mac counter and have one of the reps try it on you to show you how it looks. i think you will love it
i have only used the eyeliner and eyeshadows but they're great
out of the 3 you asked were any good, i've only tried their eyeshadows. THEY'RE FANTASTIC! there are so many colors and tones, and they last. they last. Might i also suggest trying out their blushes? They're very good too.
i've heard good things about their lipglass too. Go crazy.

MAC COSMETICS LOVERS.?
need to know.
-im 14.
-freshman.
-medium skin tone
-brown eyes
-i need opinions on what mac products to buy. it'll be my first time to mac. i want makeup that will be very natural for school and quick to apply. i def. want a concealer ive heard great things about studio sculpt concealer. and i want a nude lipcolor. idc if its a lipglass, lipgloss, or lipstick.
btw- i dont need ALOT of coverage but i need an easy makeup routine esp. for the days i have to swim in gym class during 4th hour and have 15 minutes to shower, and apply makeup.
what do you suggest?MAC COSMETICS LOVERS.?
wow. okay. newbie :] I do not really shop at Mac but my mom is a pro on this stuff: ok here we go:
Eyes: Longlash Mascara :12.00 ( you can get this at the supermarket for cheaper, its practically the same thing )
Lips: Lipglass Pink Lemonade. It looks very natural but has a sparkle hint of pink. I really like it!
Face: Studio Sculpt Concealer NW35
I hope I helped and I actually have no idea what you REALLY look like but I did the best I can. Honestly, I recommend going to a department store or the Mac store and they will help you select which product looks best on you.
By the way: I would hurry and shower fast because makeup takes a good 5-7 minutes to apply correctly, and 15 minutes is nothing! The worst is to come out looking half done or overdone like a barbie doll.
Good luck. hope you look pertyy :]MAC COSMETICS LOVERS.?

Studio Sculpt concealer.
Mineralize skin finish

I use a couple products from MAC that I really enjoy. MAC definitely isn't my entire make up routine, but here's what I have:
I would hugely reccommend using their sheer powder over their Studio Fix powder. It's called Sheer Mystery Powder, I think, and comes in compacts just the same, takes the oil out, but it is silky smooth and barely noticable.
Also, buy smaller brushes if you're going to splurge on ones from MAC. I was told once by an employee that their larger brushes for face powder basically cost more, and that's all.
Their mascara that I like best is Plush Lash. I use it to volumize my lashes before running through them with a comb mascara like Telescopic by L'oreal, and they get both long and thick. (: It's a great volume mascara.
Those are the only two products that I use regularly and are in a place to reccommend. However, I would say, don't use the Studio Fix liquid foundation- I've never seen anyone wearing it without looking a wee bit caked, at least.mr skin

and I have combo skin, will fix plus make me look greasy or just naturally radiant?
yes im a boy, dont hate.MAC Cosmetics?
';kthanksiloveyougoodbye,';
ahah loves it.
-Diorshow is crap, especially compared to MAC mascaras. The best ones I've tried are Mascara X and ZoomLash.
-The best eyeliner is techakhol liner in Graph black.
-Fix plus is my life! Naturally radiant all the way!MAC Cosmetics?
Ugh! What a hater! Anyway, I am the same way, I only use MAC and only MAC. I use the Kohl pencil, it stays on and it works for through out the whole day
Powerpoint eyeliner in Engraved its waterproof so you dont get racoon eyes
I have combo skin to and the fix dosent really do anything to your foundation except keep your skin moisturized and just refreshes your makeup
I don't hate! Well I hate MAC! It is mainly for kids and is so out of date. You should try some of the newer cosmetics. They are much more natural.
EDIT:
We love you too. I was just tryin' to help! I understand about being a MAC girl. I was one! Now I am a Bee-Luscious whore! HAHAHA! So don't hate K!
dont try to stick 2 1 brand only..make it versatile. Im using a studio fix as well + stick foundation %26amp; powder. But if mascara, i dont advise u 2 go 4 MAC..jus look 4 Dior better. ive been introduce by a fren of mine, n it really ez apply and the result is superb! dont go for luminate fluid of MAC if u dont want ur skin look greasy. mayb u can try a sheer powder of MAC as well. that is flawless... : )
-i use smolder eye kohl and, on me, it doesn't smudge...but i do have a few of the powerpoint eyeliners in different colors, and love them too!
-my FAVORITE mascara is mac plushlash! it's waaaaayyy better than diorshow!!! i also use the fibre riche, too...but only when i can't find or run out of my plaushlash :)
-fix+ is seriously my favorite thing in the entire world, and it won't make you look greasy at all!
but i'm thing of buying their eyeliner, mascara, and fix plus.

NYX cosmetics sale !?
well right now at NYX, its their 20th anniversary sale. %26amp; everythings 50% off. %26amp; im looking at the sale section, %26amp; it has a trio thats originally 8.00 but next to it, it says ';2.00'; so i pressed 'add to bag' but when i went to go look at my shopping bag, it says 4.00 (50% off) %26amp; not 2.00
http://nyxcosmetics.com/Main_Pages/Sale_鈥?/a>
im kinda scared to order, because i added all my sale prices up %26amp; got 21.50 but my cart says 43.00 .
does anyone know why its like that? when i order, will it be the sale prices? :/ thanks for reading %26amp; answering
P.S. how much is their shipping? im using usps priority.NYX cosmetics sale !?
You actually get 50% off of your entire order. When you put everything in your cart and get ready to check out, you will see that you are receiving 50% off the entire order, even the items that are on sale.NYX cosmetics sale !?
When I was ordering, I was confused too originally. But don't worry - when you're ready to check out, there will be a coupon field on the bottom of the screen - use ';NYX50'; to get 50% off.
Shipping within the US is normally about $6 with the US, but I ordered $40+ worth of merchandise (after the discount) so mine was free.
all i can say is just try to add and do the math your self and see how much it costs.
and dont forget to add tax and then include the shipping it should show u how the shipping is depending on what kind u want if u want .
also make sure u read the sale details maybe its only 50% on certain items.. if ur not sure i wouldnt purchase them or if it doesnt really matter go for it. also see if theres a number u can call they might answer ur question.
i was thinking that too. i think they made a mistake because 50% of $8 is $4. so idk why it says $2... it's still pretty cheap though.
i heard you can buy from www.cherryculture.com. the shipping for their usps priority is $6.75 or something like that. you can google ';cherry culture shipping';.
shipping would bew about $6.00 and up depends on where u live...
IDK I tried that as well, and the prices are misleading, I think we should both send them emails on their site
edit: ME:) I just went on Cherryculture.com..the discount works there for everything...use code NYX50

REMEMBER: THE MORE IDEAS YOU GIVE ME....THE MORE CHANCE OF YOU GETTING BEST ANSWER =)Mac cosmetics essentials?
Before i begin, i just want to say a little info but i'm sure you've got over it. Mac brushes are expensive, they are a investment but they are really good quality brushes and you could buy very cheap makeup and using mac brushes to create a amazing look.
Sorry if this is quite long, happy reading though
I'm going to state the brushes that are must haves and what they do then my opinion.
239 - the one the everyone loves, the most essential brush out of the whole eye brushes collection. This brush is AMAZING for packing all the color in your lid, this is definitely a no question ask MUST HAVE.
217 - Blending brush. Again this is another brush that everyone loves and very popular because it's knowing for it's multi-task brush. Not only does this brush blend, but you can use it as a highlight, and a crease brush love it~
219 - Pencil brush. This brush is soo good for people that loves doing precise areas like if you want to put eyeshadow on your lower lashline then definitely use the pencil brush, or if you want a hint of color in your tearduct then this brush it amazing. Or anyone that loves smokey eyes this is a must have brush because it works as a smudger, as a precise area brush etc
(239, 217, 219 are the must have brushes to start of with mac, they are very essential but if your on money tight then i would suggest you to buy the 239 and 217 cause they are the two brushes that can literally do your whole eye, so must haves!. But 219 is amazing as i said great to do precise areas and lining your lower lashline with shadow)!
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
now i'm going list some other brushes that are amazing but if your starting are these arent essential
224/222 - they are two different brushes however they look quite similar, they are both blending brushes and amazing. The 224 is more specifically for blending out your colors, most people buy the 224 for blending out whereas the 222 you can blend it as well as a making color on your crease. The 222 is an amazing brush for putting color on your crease
227 - large fluff brush - This is one of my favorite brushes EVER because it's so soft and its just amazing (i'm trying to use another word for amazing lol) i use this brush as a highlight but this brush is really amazing, if you go to a mac counter just touch the bristles and you'll love in love in it
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
I'm not sure if you want to know some of the mac face brushes but i might as well say it anyways. this group are the essential face brushes
129 - Blush brush - It's the best blush brush i have ever used and trust me i've used A LOT of blush brush and this is my favorite blush brush because it applies blush so well and it's very dense which can take a lot of color in it - a must have blush brush
187 - Everyone loves this brush because it's such a multi-tasker brush. This brush can use a foundation brush (most people use it as a foundation brush) to create a airbrush look which means a very natural look, it can use as a blush brush, a powder brush literally anything!
That's basically it for essential brushes but i'm going to state others
182 - Buffer brush or kabuki brush - this is literally my favorite brush out of all the face brush cause the bristles are super soft. Basically you use this brush to apply powder and buff it in your face, it's very dense so it can take a good amount of powder and blend it in your face
134 - Amazing brush for applying bronzer and powder, very expensive. I think it's the most expensive brush in all the brushes they have
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
Colors (eyes)
If you are going to parties, smokey look would be a good one or some other fun colors like purple, pinks etc
Smokey colors:
Satin taupe - it's a plumy brown, it's my favorite eyeshadow cause it works so well as a smokey look or a day time look
Carbon or black tied - if you want a matte black then choose carbon, but if you don't want so intense black then get black tied since black tied is like carbon but it has shimmer in it
Mulch, Woodwinked, Espresso - are all great colors for making the smokey eye look, they are browns fyi
Swish - is a pink with purple undertone, it's my favorite pink out of all the mac shadows they have just because it works so well with so many colors and AMAZING!
Sketch - it's like a dark burgundy purple color, so so pretty
Stars and rockets - It's a purple and it works so pretty with swish, love it!
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
Now for home gatherings - (usually you go for more neutral colors since it's a home gathering you don't want it to be so dramatic)
All that glitters - by far my favorite neutral, it's likMac cosmetics essentials?
brushes: definitely a pack on brush like the 239 or 242, and then a 217 definitely for blending in the crease, its my fav brush. but the 224 is really good also
face brushes, it kind of depends what type of foundation, makeup you use, so that's variable
blush - well dressed. it's like the number one blush
colors, you definitely need a flat black like carbon for smokey eye looks. it's also kind of hard to say what colors you want depending on your skin tone/wants/needs, but i'd probably say like woodwinked, satin taupe, shadowy lady, silverthorn...again it's hard to say, but try out some of these colors and see if you like it

Benefit Cosmetics?
What are your favorite things from Benefit????
And if you could get free makeup from there what would you get?
(please check out my other benefit question to rate some of their products) thanks.Benefit Cosmetics?
My favorite thing from Benefit is Bad Gal Lash. I use it everyday. I makes your lashes big and bold.
My next favorite thing from Benefit is the creaseless cream shadows. They are so smooth, and have great color. They also last a long time. You have to basically take a shower to get them off.
The Eye Bright is good. I see Carmindy from 'What Not to Wear' use it a lot. Oh and you can see her using all Benefit products here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPVwKsYAm鈥?/a>
I also have Benetint which is a great cheek stain. I don't like it as a lip stain.
I use the Show Off's in Miss Moon as an eye highlighter.
The Gilded highlighting pencil is nice. I use it in the crease of my eyes.
Oh and I did like Some Kind-a Gorgeous but I now use Maybelline's new Mineral Wear Liquid foundation.
The Boi-ing is a great under eye concealer. Not for zits though its only for under eyes.
I want to try the Big Beautiful Eyes palette. It looks to be a great brown smokey eye.
Also Miss Popularity which is a very very fine highlighting powder.
Oh the new Lust Dusters look great. They are going to take the place of the Show Off's.
Oh and I don't think I'll ever get to try Lipscription because it is so expensive, but the scrubbing beads seem like it would get off dead skin from your lips well.
And High Beam which is a liquid highlighter. I have tried it before, but I just haven't had NEED for it since I have the Show Off's.
And the new boxed powder Thrrob. I tried that on my hand and it seems to be a GREAT pink for spring.
Oh and ';Touch Me Then Try to Leave';...cream, Bum Deal body scrub, Bathina Body So Fine. I like those because I'm girly and they seem neat. Also every review I have read of the Bun Deal loves it.
What I didn't like was the Eye Con. It didn't seem to do anything for me. The Get Even powder which was drying to my skin, but I HATE powders. The Speed Brow didn't work for me because none of the colors worked with my brows. The California Kissin' lip gloss is worthless. I'm on the fence with the Perfect 10 blush. It works, but you need to blend blend blend it for it to not look dumb.
And if you need more opinions go to:

My fave by far is miss popularity highlighter and i would get that free also lip and cheek tint is good as well as dallas.
hope this helped x
(see my make up question on scars)
I love the eye bright, use in the corner of eye, inner eye, you will never look tired!
Benetint is awesome applied on the apple of cheeks, looks very natural
Their concealers are great as well, I've used two of them one with a yellow base, the other light, Industrial Strength Concealer, they work very well
Dr Feel Good is for setting make up, or wearing alone, like it
That Gal is a skin brightener worn under make up very good, you can also wear alone
The one I cannot live without is the Eye Bright! I would love to try them all!
i use benefit high beam illuminator and didnt use it at first but now i find it amazing. i mix a little with foundatin and my skin looks glowing
i bought bad gal lash and found it very lightweight found it extremely smudgy - you end up with black under your eyes by the end of the day, just from a normal day
if i could get free makeup i would go crazy as i love the packaging!! (im a sucker for great packaging!) but i have heard great reviews about the lip and cheek tint and their foundation primers in particular

MAC Cosmetics Questions?
am a 15 year old girl that is starting to get tired of drugstore brand makeup and leaning towards more higher end makeup.
Also, please don't say ';Check out these makeup gurus on youtube!'; I've already seen them.(:
Any other tips or things you know about MAC Cosmetics that might be useful to me would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks so much!MAC Cosmetics Questions?
OK...here's the answers to all your questions.
1. MAC is worth buying for ANYBODY! So yes, it is worth buying for you.
2. Golds and pinks will make your eyes pop. So...check out these colors for the lid, crease, and highlight.
-Lid: Lots of options for this! Here's some... Ricepaper, Gorgeous Gold, Sushi Flower, Girlie, Tete-A-Tent, or Goldmine.
-Crease: This needs to be darker. Tell me how these sound... Cork, Omega, Arena, or Patina.
-Highlight: You always want to use a light(er) color for the highlight. Here are some ideas...Flip, Motif, Malt, maybe even Bisque.
3. A good MAC starter kit...OK, so I will tell you the products you need and the total price you would pay for them.
-Pressed Powder (I recomend ';Select Sheer/Pressed)...This stuff works GREAT. You can put it on by itself or over foundation. It will make your skin look amazing. I like it because it can easily fit in my purse and it has a little mirror in case I want to apply it on the go. This powder is worth every penny and I highly recomend it... $21.00
-Eyeshadow (I loooove ';Woodwinked';)... MAC's eyeshadow is beautiful and stays on for a long time when properly applied. It's a must-have for a starter kit... $14.50
-A Lipglass (My favorite is the Dazzleglass in ';Moth to Flame'; because it's natural and really pretty and shiny)... Also a must-have if you really like glossy lips... $18.00
-Concealer (If you want, but it's not a must-have for me)... I've never tried MAC's concealer, but I've heard great things about it... (Studio Finish is one of the cheapest) ...$15.50
-If you got all of these things, your total would come to $69.00 and you would have free shipping on the MAC website.
***Thought this information would help... Go to a MAC counter or store and they will have you matched to all of your colors for free, or answer any questions you might have. They are super nice about this stuff. Go to the MAC website and check out the products. You won't be dissapointed.
P.S. Have you ever heard of Back to MAC? This is where you can return six used products for a free lipstick. Just thought you might want to know.mr skin

I don't have alot of money, I do have a budget. I'm trying not to go over like $80 on MAC. Lastly, I do not wear liquid foundation, only powder sometimes.
Just thought you might want to know.
Flirt Cosmetics????????????????
Today I was at Target and I stumbled across this cosmetic line. I have never seen this cosmetic brand before (I live in Australia btw) and it looked pretty decent with heaps of different colours and shades etc. The blushes also look a lot like the NARS blushes. Has anyone ever used this brand? And is it actually a decent brand, not like dodgy brands like BYS or Chi Chi that cause alergic reactions on your skin and such. It's actually quite expensive over here with lipsticks costing $20 and blushes costing $24, which is slightly more expensive than drugstore brands but a bit cheaper than MAC. I'd just like to know if it's a decent brand before I actually try it out.Flirt Cosmetics????????????????
hecks yeah ! flirt is a great brand! I leave in the U.S but we have it here too and the colors are just great and as far as allergic reactions go I have very sensetive skin and it has never bothered me !Flirt Cosmetics????????????????
I have used Flirt cosmetics, It is a good brand, also sold at Kohls. I have very sensitive skin and it has never caused breakouts. They have really good colors especially in the cream shadows.
i love flirt.. they have amazing blushes and they haven't caused me any problems

MAC cosmetics help!!!!!?
Alright, so first off, I have to say I do have a fairly large makeup collection. I get my makeup from Sephora, Ulta, and some drug stores. I'm a little intimidated to go to MAC and buy things. I am a bargin buyer, but I am willing to go in and try it out.
But, I'm afraid they will want me to buy all this stuff and I don't want to do that.
And can I just go to the MAC counter and get pigment samples without buying?
Are there other places to get MAC?
What are some products I should start out with for MAC?
Thanks in advance! :)MAC cosmetics help!!!!!?
Yes you can buy MAC at the Cosmetic Company Outlet (CCO) for a lot cheaper.
Yes you can get pigment samples from the MAC counter but I feel bad if I just ask without buying something.
It can be intimidating because MAC can be addicting (haha I would know). Once you go in there you may not like the 14.50 for a eyeshadow, but it is a great investment. You get a lot of use out of the things you buy from the counter. Plus if you meet a person who works there, they can be your person and always help you out. Some of the employees are pushy and some are great. Best of luck to you.MAC cosmetics help!!!!!?

I'm just like you - Sephora and drugstores are my favorite, but MAC kinda freaks me out! It's just so upper-class!
I always go in just to look around and see what they have. If I have a question, I ask. Their employees are people just like me, only richer... =P But I never really buy anything. I always figure I can find pretty much the same thing at a drugstore or Target for $20 cheaper.
you dont need to buy stuff when your sampling the makeup. the workers there will help put it on for you and you decide whether you want to get it or not. they wont force you to get anything, they will just show you some products that could work well for you. you can get MAC at macy's and some other major department stores. a good coverup is studio fix. the eyeliner i usually get from there is eye khol . i also get some bronzers and mineralize skin finish . its goooodd stuff :)
