Mac cosmetics, starter please help!?

okay, my birthday is coming up and i've already been given 50 dollars from my great grandmother and i've decided that i want to spend it on makeup. okay, so i want to get stuff from mac but i also want to have enough money to buy other makeup brands too. anyways, what would you recommend i buy? concealer? foundation? eyeshadow?

whats your definition of a starter kit from mac

also, my color is golden beige in revlon colorstay foundation if that tells you what my skin tone is. (:Mac cosmetics, starter please help!?
With only $50, you can't buy a lot from MAC if you want a ';starter kit';. If I was a newbie to MAC and I could only buy a couple of things, I would buy............

-MAC Eyeshadow in Dazzlelight OR Shroom for a nice highlighter color. They cost $15.

-MAC Eyeshadow in Woodwinked OR Patina for a basic brown eyeshadow. This costs $15.

-With the remaining $20 I would buy a MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder or MAC Blot Powder Pressed. They cost $21. A good powder will mattify your complexion while giving you a little coverage.Mac cosmetics, starter please help!?
i think mac is pretty pricey, so you might just be able to buy 1 or 2 things if you want money leftover. i would buy the things that matter more if they're really good quality, like foundation and concealer. i would spend 5x more on concealer because you'll really notice the difference on your face between a cheap and a good quality one. things like eyeliner, shadow and lip gloss can be purchased at a drug store, and i find there's no much difference in quality and staying power.
MAC is well known for their lipglass and lipsticks. Go and try some colours on to see what looks best on you. MAC has good eyeshadows and eyeliners (pencil and liquid)

Maybe get your foundation from a drugstore (Revlon, L'Oreal) and get the colourful, fun stuff from MAC.
fifty dollars will only buy you two or three things from MAC...

I recommend eyeshadow and lip gloss. If your more into foundation get that. For a radiant glow get their pearlescent foundation, really cool. One big suggestion is to get their mineralize quad because it's four shadows in one, and a big save. Also, try out their new lip tints!
I don't know, probably a bit of both?

I would suggest to buy eyeshadow..it's the best..Also the lip gloss. Be careful with the blush on..My face is not sensitive but it makes me break out.
